Cahill) was slow to begin. KIPROTICH (S. Price) and JAILBREAK JIMMY (J. Maund) raced keenly in the early and From the entrance to the straight until the vicinity of the 200 metres OUR MUMMY S BOY (S. Cahill) was held up for clear running on the heels of a number of runners. J. Kah, the rider of MONS ABILA, reported her mount was inclined to hang out throughout the event. MONS ABILA was examined by the Club s Veterinary Surgeon who reported no visible M. Neilson, the rider of BUYMEBYCHANCE, explained the gelding was only one pace in this event and was disappointing throughout. BUYMEBYCHANCE was examined by the Club s Veterinary Surgeon who reported the gelding to be lame in the off foreleg. Trainer Mr. B. Smart was advised a Veterinary Certificate of Fitness would be required prior to accepting for a future trial or race. RACE 2 : COOPERS / SABOIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1604 metres TYCOON CHESTER, which was fractious in the barriers after being loaded, was examined by the Club s Veterinary Surgeon who reported an abrasion to the off hind hock and ruled the horse unfit to race. Acting on that advice, Stewards withdrew TYCOON CHESTER at 1.14 pm. CLASSY BET (J. RACE 2 : COOPERS / SABOIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1604 metres (Cont d) In the vicinity of the 500 metres COMET STRIKE (J. Kah) was unbalanced for a short distance and shifted out momentarily, inconveniencing THE CLASH (NZ) (C. Jones), which was taken wider on the track. RACE 3 : JOHN PEARCE / SABOIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1400 metres On arrival on course TIA (NZ), which injured itself in the float en route to the course, was examined by the Club s Veterinary Surgeon and ruled fit to race. LETHAL LEGS (J. Maund) jumped away awkwardly and shifted out bumping TIA (NZ) (D. Tourneur). BELLA SPOSA (J. Holder) jumped away awkwardly and as a result was slow into stride. LITTLE NIC (J. Bowditch) and SIXTEEN AGAIN (C. Lindop) raced keenly in the early and In the vicinity of the 400 metres and for a short distance ONE PERCENTA (J. Toeroek) was inclined to lay in under pressure. In the vicinity of the 300 metres BELLA SPOSA (J. Holder), which was attempting a tight run between SIXTEEN AGAIN (C. Lindop) and OCTOMINT (J. Kah), shifted out and away from SIXTEEN AGAIN, bumping OCTOMINT on a number of occasions. In the vicinity of the 50 metres OCTOMINT (J. Kah) was inconvenienced when ONE PERCENTA (J. Toeroek) shifted out and BELLA SPOSA (J. Holder) shifted in under pressure. Correct Weight for this event was delayed to allow J. Holder, the rider of the fourth placegetter BELLA SPOSA, and that mare s Trainer Mr D. Jolly, to view the official footage in the straight. BELLA SPOSA was examined by the Club s Veterinary Surgeon who reported no visible ONE PERCENTA was examined by the Club s Veterinary Surgeon who reported no visible Mr M. Seyers, the Trainer of ONE PERCENTA, was advised a warning had been placed on the mare regarding its racing manners. SIXTEEN AGAIN was examined by the Club s Veterinary Surgeon who reported no visible RACE 4 : SCHWEPPES / SABOIS FILLIES & MARES MAIDEN PLATE - 1204 metres Mr D. Halliday, the Trainer of ELVESINTHESTREAM, was questioned regarding his failure to produce the Thoroughbred Identification Card for the mare as required by the Rules. As Stewards were able to confirm the identity of ELVESINTHESTREAM from records held by them and its microchip, the gelding was permitted to start. Mr Halliday was fined $50 under AR59A. The start of this event was delayed approximately two minutes owing to ANOTHER ENEMY, ELVESINTHESTREAM and AMERITAR all proving difficult to load. Trainers Ms S. Ratsch, Mr D. Halliday and Mr D. RACE 4 : SCHWEPPES / SABOIS FILLIES & MARES MAIDEN PLATE - 1204 metres (Cont d) ELVESINTHESTREAM (D. Caboche) jumped away awkwardly and shifted in, bumping KASMARLAINE (S. Cahill). AMERITAR (R. Hurdle) and COMPLETE CLASS (C. Lindop) raced keenly in the early and From the vicinity of the 800 metres to the entrance to the straight CHICA CALIENTE (E. Finnegan), which was hanging out, inconvenienced RED RIBBON (J. Potter), which was taken wider on the track. CHICA CALIENTE (E. Finnegan) was inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight. In the vicinity of the 200 metres MATERIALISED (P. Gatt), which was laying in under pressure, was inconvenienced and lost its position when taking a tight run to the outside of RAINBOW REFELCTION (W. Kerford) and to the inside of KASMARLAINE (S. Cahill). MATERIALISED (P. Gatt) was examined by the Club s Veterinary Surgeon who reported no visible CHICA CALIENTE was examined by the Club s Veterinary Surgeon who reported the mare to be short in its stride in both forelegs. Trainer Mr P. Stokes was advised a Veterinary Certificate of Fitness would be required prior to accepting for a future trial or race. RACE 5 : VARIETY CHILDREN S CHARITY / SABOIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1052 metres The start of this event was delayed approximately three minutes owing to C. Lindop being dislodged from CORRECT CALL en route to the barriers. C. Lindop was examined by the First Care Medical personal who ruled her fit to fulfil her remaining engagements. CORRECT CALL galloped for a considerable distance before being captured. CORRECT CALL was withdrawn by Stewards at 2.55 pm. Co-Trainers Mr L. Macdonald and Mr A Gluyas were advised the filly must perform satisfactorily in an Official Barrier Trial prior to accepting for a future race. BEL SORBET (R. Bell) reared on jumping away and as a result was slow into stride. BONATTI (M. Neilson) and FROZEN HONOR (K. Bishop) hung out throughout the event. Rounding the home turn FROZEN HONOR (K. Bishop) continued to hang out and as a result raced wide in the straight for the remainder of the event. JIMMYTOWN JEWEL (W. Kerford) was inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight. JIMMYTOWN JEWEL was examined by the Club s Veterinary Surgeon who reported no visible BONATTI was examined by the Club s Veterinary Surgeon who reported no visible FROZEN HONOR was examined by the Club s Veterinary Surgeon who reported no visible Trainer Mr K. Matson was advised a warning had been placed on the gelding s racing manners. Correct Weight for this event was delayed to allow Stewards to review the official footage of the start in relation to the manner in which BEL SORBET began. RACE 6 : JCB RATING 0-62 HANDICAP - 1050 metres The start of this race was delayed approximately four minutes owing to FULL SWING losing its near fore plate en route to the barriers and requiring Farrier attention. FULL SWING was examined by the Club s Veterinary Surgeon who ruled the gelding fit to race. KHAMSA (J. Bowditch) and THOMASON (R. Bell) were slow to begin. Shortly after the start LUCKY ON BLACK (S. Price) and SHOW SET (T. Zanker) bumped for a short distance. In the vicinity of the 1100 metres LUCKY ON BLACK (S. Price) had to be steadied and lost its position when STONE SOBER (Jemma Frew) shifted in. Jemma Frew pleaded guilty to a charge of Careless Riding under AR137(a) in that she permitted her mount to shift ground when insufficiently clear and was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence at midnight on Wednesday, 28 October and to conclude at midnight on Wednesday, 4 November 2015; a period of three (3) meetings. FULL SWING was examined by the Club s Veterinary Surgeon who reported no visible COOL MAVERICK lost its near fore plate during the event. RACE 7 : BTR EXCAVATIONS CLASS 2 HANDICAP - 1604 metres CYCLONE THOMAS (P. Gatt) raced keenly in the early and In the vicinity of the 400 metres ROD S OPINION (J. Holder) was momentarily inconvenienced when racing tight to the inside of SHAABAM (D. Tourneur) and to the outside of CYCLONE THOMAS (P. Gatt), which shifted out marginally.
