Typical examples are: sythetic or mieral oil, orgaic solvets, water (ot seawater), glycol mixtures (ethylee ad propylee glycol). The frot plate of TTP s PHE is marked with a arrow. The purpose of this marker is to idicate the frot side of the PHE ad the locatio of the ier ad outer circuits/chaels. With the arrow poitig up, the left side (Port F1, F3) is the ier circuit ad the right side (Port F2, F4) is the outer circuit. For TTP asymmetric products oe circuit is arrow while the other is wide, which makes it additioally importat to correctly combie flow ad circuit to reach desig performace. Ports F1/F2/F3/F4 are situated o the frot of the heat exchager. DESIGN ONDITIONS The stadard pressure ratig used for TTP PHEs, i.e. for stadard operatig pressure, is maximum 450 psi (3.1 MPa). TTP offers a wide rage of pressure ratigs based o applicatios, from low pressures (6 psi) up to high pressures (2030 psi). TTP s stadard maximum operatig temperature is 437 F for copper-brazed PHEs, ad 660 F for Nickel brazed PHEs. However, as temperature ad pressure are closely coupled, there is a possibility to icrease the pressure if the temperature is reduced. Stailess steel is typically ot satisfactory for salt water service. leaig I some applicatios, the foulig tedecy could be very high; for example whe usig extremely hard water. It is always possible to clea the exchager by circulatig a cleaig liquid. Use a tak with a weak acid. 5% phosphoric acid, or if the exchager is frequetly cleaed, 5% oxalic acid. Pump the cleaig liquid through the exchager. For optimum cleaig, the cleaig solutio flow rate should be a miimum of 1.5 times ormal flow rate, preferably i a backflush mode. fterwards rise with large amouts of fresh water i order to get rid of all the acid before startig up the system agai. lea at regular itervals. STORGE PHEs are to be stored dry. The temperature should ot be below 34 F ad ot over 122 F for log term storage (more tha 2 weeks).
