PLEASE READ ALL REGULATIONS BEFORE YOU FILL ÓUT Application for Entry Form Regulations: PLEASE READ! NLIS scanning will commence on Saturday morning prior to judging. Ensure all forms are completed and available for the NLIS operator. 1. All EXHIBITORS NEED TO SUPPLY THEIR OWN BEDDING STRAW. 2. Age of Cattle shall be as at to 1 st July 2017. 3. All animals will be registered in a Herd Book of the respective Breed Society. 4. All Animals are to be owned by the EXHIBITOR for 3 Months PRIOR to the Show. 5. Registration certificate(s) must be made available to Stewards if requested. 6. All exhibitors MUST have Public Liability Insurance and to have same endorsed for travelling to Gatton Show. 7. Each Entry must be accompanied by a Certificate of Health Declaration 8. It is the responsibility of each exhibitor to ensure the leaders of their stock in judging rings and Grand Parade are capable of exercising control over the animals in their care, to ensure public safety and safety of other exhibitors. 9. Any Animal shown as an individual Exhibit may not be shown with its Dam. 10. In Cow classes, calves exhibited at foot MUST be UNDER 8 Months of Age. 11. The Exhibits will only be accepted from Brucellosis and Tuberculosis clean heard (status monitored negative, tested negative or confirmed free) recognised by the D.P.I. 12. JOHNE S DISEASE Cattle must not be introduced unless they comply with the conditions for animlas to enter Queensland: a) They are from a non restricted herd in a Johne s Disease protected or free zone OR b) They are from a check tested Negatived or MN1 (Monitored Negative) or better herd in a Control or Residual Zone.

13. Any Exhibitors intending to bring Electrical Equipment to the Showgrounds are required to ensure it is fitted with earth leakage circuit breakers and that all electrical leads, tools and appliances have been inspected & tagged by a licensed electrical contractor. This is essential for the safety of all exhibitors and the public; and is a requirement of the Workplace Health & Safety Act 1889. The Act imposes severe penalties in the event of non-compliance with its provisions. Any exhibitors who do not comply will not be allowed entry to Showgrounds. 14. ALL CATTLE HOUSED OVERNIGHT MUST HAVE NECK STRAP 15. All Animals over 4 Months must have Nose Grip or Ring. Bulls 1 year and over must have NOSE RING. 16. All Exhibits MUST be haltered at all times. 16. All Stock MUST be FREE from Ticks. Tick infested cattle will not be allowed to compete and must be removed from the Showgrounds. Spraying Facilities are available at the Showgrounds with No charge to Exhibitors from Cattle Tick Free Areas. Exxhibitors must provide a copy of their completed Waybill/NVD. For further information, call 0423378984. Spraying commences 2pm Friday & Saturday. An alternative time may be available - please call the above number for arrangements. The Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies Inc. Beef Cattle Paraders Competition Rules To be eligible for the State Finals, Competitors must comply with ALL Rules noted below. Paraders competitions are to determine the Parader who presents and parades an animal before a judge most effectively. 1) Paraders will parade their animal in a clockwise manner as is normal in a cattle judging ring at the discretion of the Judge. 2) Competitors must be over 15 and under 25 years of age on the 1 st May in the year of the State Final 3) Competitors under 17 years of age must have approval of a parent or guardian to compete. 4) Competitors are to be a Queensland resident for three (3) months prior to competing, or be attending an educational institution in Queensland unless they qualify under rule five (5) below. 5) Competitors residing interstate who can provide an affinity with a Queensland Show are allowed entry provided they satisfy one (1) of the following criteria: a) Their address has a Queensland postcode; b) They have a Queensland phone number; c) The competitor or their parents are active working members of that show. 6) National winners are ineligible to compete. Procedure for local show level competition: 7) An entry form must be completed for all competitors 8) Different age classes may be added to program for judging. 9) Paraders must wear a white dust coat and not display any name or logo at the Stewards discretion. 10) Beef Cattle Paraders may lead a steer or heifer; or a Bull under 20 months. 11) For safety reasons, Judges are not permitted to ask competitors in Young Parader Competitions to swap animals. 12) Cattle are to be presented in their natural, clean state No glitter is permissible on animal or Parader.

Tick Spraying Facilities Available Free of Charge to Exhibitors from Cattle Tick Free Areas All exhibitors must have a COMPLETED Waybill Any Exhibitor who does not meet the above requirements are required to have spraying completed at an alternative dip area and will be charged normal inspection fees NO EXCEPTIONS Spraying facilities will be operating both days of the show, commencing at approx 2pm** For any further enquiries, please phone the spraying operator on 0423378984 **Other times may be available and will be announced over the P.A. System during the showing.
