APPROVAL OF MINUTES January 27, 2016 Meeting Moved: Terry Field Seconded: Terry Rea 4. COMMISSIONER ANNOUNCEMENT Bruce Obbink discussed the results of the City Manager s review with the insurance company that covers the golf course relative to the proposed netting on #5 by the mobile homes. The review went well. 5. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None from the audience 6. OLD BUSINESS A. Course Co Update-Kurt Vogal 1. CourseCo presentation recently made to city council was well received. 2. Company has implemented cost cutting due to weather reduction of rounds but most cost cutting is via labor controls & staffing reductions. Maintaining focus on service in

spite of these actions. 3. New Assistant Pro from Napa, will start May 9 th. Page 2 of 5 4. Easter egg hunt went well with some learning curve information to be added to the program for next year. 5. Movie Night will be added to the facilities program for the summer for Mid-July. More information to follow. 6. Looking at adding a Halloween event. 7. Kurt reviewed a chart reflecting the past rounds actualized compared to same time frames last year. 8. Rich Baloga requested stats reflecting rounds of play by the club membership NEW BUSINESS A. Pace of Play/Status of Return of Marshals was reviewed with Kurt. They do track and the last study reflected a time range of play from 3.5 to 4.5 hours on the high side. Does not seem to be a major problem but they do schedule marshals during peak playing to monitor. B. Local Tournament Event. Kurt has scheduled with the NCGA a PG City Open Championship for the 1 st week of November. C. Report of Stay & Play Packages: The Asilomar is working with CourseCo to develop the existing Stay & Play package. CourseCo provided an email blast promoting such to their data base of 125,000 northern California golfers. The package is gaining traction slowly..about 15 package have been sold to date. D. Rancho Canada Golf Courses Closing: It was announced that both the West & East course are closing. East is being purchased by a conservancy and the west is slated for home development. Discussion ensued regarding what impact this will have on additional compression for rounds at PG Links. Kurt emphasized that PG citizens needs are top priority in assessing how this will impact the future regarding tee time availability and pricing matters. COMMISSIONER ANNOUNCEMENT Bruce Obbink added item #7C to the agenda would like discussion regarding the proposed Admission Fee being applied to the golf course. 5. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None from the audience 6. OLD BUSINESS A. Course Co Update-Kurt Vogel 1. Financially the course has been doing well over the last few months after starting the year slowly (this includes number of rounds). 2. The course is in good shape. 3. Staffing has been back to normal for the last 60 days.

4. Movie night was well received with an estimated 150 people in attendance. Agenda No. A large 10A screen was brought in and placed above the 18 th Page 4 of 5 green. Attendees covered the fairway with blankets/chairs. a. Movie viewed was Frozen. b. A 6-hole Putting course was set up on the 18 th green. c. The 6-hole Putting course may spawn future events. d. Negligible impact for the restaurant. They did stay open till 9:00. 5. Updated the Commission on talks how talks were proceeding with the golf clubs from Rancho Canada. a. Has a contact for Men s club. Hasn t reached out yet. Seem like they are comfortable with the remaining 18 holes thru the end of the year. b. Has had numerous contact with the Ladies club representatives. At the end, they decided to move their group to Laguna Seca. c. Thought we might get future tournaments with the courses closing. 6. Introduced Adam Pohl who has regional responsibility for 10 CourseCo Properties. NEW BUSINESS A. Round of golf played by Card was discussed. (Compared first 7 months on 2016 vs 2015). a. Links Card Annual fee allows unlimited play, cart extra i. 2718 vs 2253 b. Lighthouse Card in the middle on Links and Monarch. i. 47 vs 96 c. Monarch running about 40% of published rate i. Resident 4338 vs 4214 ii. Non-Resident 1447 vs 926 Overall, 1,096 higher rounds this year. B. Bruce Obbink distributed an updated Rounds Played chart. C. Tim McGill asked Kurt What Can the Commission do for the course management? a. Feedback b. Discussed the increase in activity on the driving range. c. Would like to add Capital for discussion. D. Ladies Club Report

a. Appreciate the redo of the 17 th Tee. b. Request to check on restrooms on 5 more frequently. Page 5 of 5 c. Request for more ladies apparel. d. Looking to use the Tournament Pairing Program. E. Fivesomes a. Issue of fivesomes was brought up. b. It was mentioned that it was a city ordinance. c. Bruce Obbink to investigate. Agenda items for next meeting: A.
