I would like to start by sending out a very special congratulations to Caroline Warren from Beach Team. She placed 1st All Around at Level 9 Regionals and 3rd All Around at Level 9 Eastern s! That is a great accomplishment for our State! Be sure to look through this newsletter to see the results from all of the Regional, Eastern and National championship meets. As we move into the summer months, please be sure to keep up to date with any updates that may occur to the current rules by attending a Regional or National Congress. These are all great ways to get first hand information that will be helpful to you and your club for the upcoming season. You will find helpful resources on our SC website including State Meet Bid forms and Invitational Meet info. Don t forget we are electing a new State Administrative Committee this summer so please be sure to vote! Look for on-line voting information to be sent out soon! Be sure to Mark your calendars for our Annual State Meeting that will take place Sunday August 30 @ 2:00pm at Carolina Gymnastics Center. Have a wonderful summer! Joanne Child Congratulations Anna Sexton 2015 South Carolina Coach of the Year! Forms available on website sc.gymnastics-org State Meet Bid Info State Meet Bid Form Invitational Meet Info Request For Judges Training Camp Forms will be available in August Anna Sexton has been coaching at Carolina Gymnastics for 14 years. She has coached several state and regional champions. She is a USA Gymnastics Nationally rated coach. Anna has also coached several Level 10 JO National Qualifiers and college scholarship athletes. In 2006, Anna taught Level 10 athlete Karli Jones a new E release skill on bars that was later named after her and added to the code of points. This skill is called The Jones. Anna has been featured in the Elite coaches association video series. She is also the program director at camp Woodward. Anna also gives back to South Carolina by volunteering at numerous State training camps. She also serves on the SC State Administrative Committee as the Apparel and Scholarship Chair. In addition, Anna has initiated a campaign with the support of the NCAA Women s Gymnastics Coaches Association and the NCAA Gymnastics Growth Committee to bring collegiate gymnastics back to the University of South Carolina. A special thanks to Anna for her hard work and dedication to South Carolina Gymnastics.
