Cambridgeshire countryside. The whole route will be closed to vehicles but please keep your eyes peeled for other runners and safety crew on bicycles. We have positioned Refreshment Stations along the route to keep the runners hydrated and energised while running, plus Bus Pick Up Points to pick up and bring runners back to the start once their race is run. Toilets will also be placed along the route at some Refreshment Stations and Bus Pick Up Points. The whole route will be marked and race marshals will help direct the runners in the correct way along the course Medical Information First aid support will be available Runners in need of assistance should speak to volunteers or medical staff who will be placed along the route. A full medical team will also be on site at Parkers Piece for any serious injuries and a team will also be driving behind the catcher car. If during the race emergency services require access to any part of the route, they will take priority and road closures will be suspended for those emergency vehicles. In such a situation race marshals along the route will warn the runners and in some cases may be required to hold runners back while the emergency services pass.
Refreshment Stations Refreshment stations are positioned along the route roughly every 3-4km.The full Refreshment Station route map is shown on the next page. Plan your nutrition strategy accordingly; being properly hydrated and fuelled is key for maximising your performance.
