DUPUIS TO PLAY 800 TH NHL GAME Pascal Dupuis will be appearing in his 800 th NHL game tonight against the Sabres. The undrafted free agent played his first NHL game as a member of the Minnesota Wild on April 2, 200 against the San Jose Sharks. That night Dupuis scored his first NHL goal on a power play at 6:04 of the first period against Evgeni Nabokov. Dupuis has since gone on to play for the NY Rangers, Atlanta and Pittsburgh. Dupuis has played more games with Pittsburgh (380) than any of his previous NHL stops (Minnesota, 334; NY Rangers, 6; Atlanta, 79). Dupuis reached a milestone in the Penguins home opener on Thursday night by notching his 200 th NHL assist on Sidney Crosby s first-period goal. MILESTONE WIN Marc-Andre Fleury became the 47 th goaltender in NHL history and ninth active netminder to reach 250 career victories following his 3-0 blanking of the New Jersey Devils on Thursday night. With the victory, Fleury tied Hall of Famer Johnny Bower for 46 th place on the NHL s all-time wins list. Fleury improved to 6-3 all-time in season-openers after notching his second season-opening shutout.
