LOYOLA COLLEGE Head Coach Emil G. Reitz NCKNAME: GREYHOUNDS LOCATON: BALTMORE, MD. VNCE GALLAGHER Co-Captain of the squad and hails from Swarthmore, Pa. Vince is the aggressive, fast type of player and his long high archery shot has delighted Loyola followers. Slipped into a starting role last year when O Donnell graduated and did a fine job until injured. During the spring he high jumped for the Track Team. s a Navy Vet. TOM McKEW His work on the Freshman team last year on rebounds made him a defensive standout. 6-2 and moves very quickly for a tall boy. s a workhorse on defense. Comes from Loyola High School, Baltimore. HERB MENERT Co Captain and stands 6-3 and is shifty for a big boy. Understudied Bob Anderson for two years and this season will come into his own. Played fine ball in relief roles last year, and the year before did fine work in the Denver and Kansas City Tournaments. s the super salesman of the squad. ED KELLY Another sophomore up from the Freshman squad. Played high school ball for Chamminade High of New York. An excellent floorman and very good on rebounds. NEXT HOME GAME: N. C.
