Summer Youth Golf Camps Do you want your kids to learn golf or improve their skills this summer? Wouldn't it be great for them to have fun doing it? Children ages 4-17 can participate in one of Scally's Golf Center's newest summer golf camps with Chuck Scally, Jr and Jill Finlan-Scally. The camps will focus on fun ways to learn and develop skills for putting, chipping, pitching and full swing. There will also be an introduction to rules, etiquette, course management and sportsmanship. The instruction will include gamebased teaching methods to reinforce the fun side of golf. There will also be activities that work on balance, coordination, locomotion, and body awareness to help the students improve their overall athletic skills. These camps have foundations in U.S. Kid s Golf and TPI junior programs. The Little Linkstars Camp is for ages 4-7 and will meet for 1 hour from Tuesday to Friday. They will play a short scramble on the pitch and putt course Friday, weather permitting. There will be a party with prizes and food following. The Junior Camp is for ages 8-17 and will meet for 2 hours from Tuesday through Friday. They will play a 9 hole scramble tournament on Friday on the par 3 course, weather permitting. The instructors will cancel the program within 24 hours of the start of the camp if the camp size is less than the minimum. Students may be offered the option to work with an instructor in a modified, shortened program. Every effort will be made to fill the spot with a student on the waiting list when possible.

The golfers will learn to focus on proper practice techniques for short game and full swing, receive video swing analysis and learn rules and course management skills, and proper mental preparation needed to perform at their best during competition. The golfers must be able to consistently break 65 for 9 holes. It's preferred that a previous camp, clinic, or private lessons have been taken to participate in this camp. NEW PROGRAM for JUNIORS Scally Golf Academy Junior Development Program (based upon U.S. Kid s Golf) Do you want your child to participate in the game of golf throughout their lifetime? At Scally Golf Academy, we developed a passion for golf as children. We want to help you instill a passion for golf in your children by progressing them through our junior development program. Scally Golf Academy Junior Development Program Features Based upon the U.S. Kid s Golf Learning Program Three Levels of Skill Development Difficulty Increases as the Junior Advances through Each Level Each Level Includes Instruction and Checkpoints in Five Core Areas of Golf 5 Areas of Focus: Putting, Around the Green, Full Swing, Knowledge and Scoring.

Why Our Program Works As the juniors pass through the levels, they will earn achievement pins each time they pass one of the five skills tests. Mastered pins for each level are earned when a player completes all five skills for that level. Juniors who have mastered all three levels will be recognized at uskidsgolf.com/mastered and have a foundation for a lifetime of enjoyable golf. The Scally Golf Academy Junior Development Program consists of three separate group classes and a supervised practice program. The junior can enroll in one part of the program or in all parts of the program. We highly recommend that the juniors enroll in all aspects of the program to become U.S. Kid s Golf Mastered. In order to achieve all 18 pins for the program and become U.S. Kid s Golf Mastered, all juniors will be placed in the Level 1 group class regardless of prior golf experience, so they can be properly evaluated by the instructors. During the Scally Golf Academy Level 1 group class, the juniors will be instructed on the forms for all five core areas and requirements for the skills tests. On the first day, juniors will receive a Level 1 Player Box which includes a hat, a U.S. Kid s Level 1 booklet, a U.S. Kid s Level 1 bag tag and a learning scoreboard. The Level 2 and 3 group classes also focus on the five core areas, but the difficulty and knowledge will increase with each level. The students get the booklets and bag tags for that level on the first day of each of those classes. Juniors will progress differently through the levels. Those with prior golf experience may progress through Level 1 in four to six weeks while other juniors may take 12 weeks or longer to progress through the level. Most students progress through Level 1 the quickest, however most students will not pass all skills tests or maybe any by the end of their Level 1 class. Students will only need to complete each level group class once. As a result, we recommend the juniors enroll in our Junior Development Supervised Practice and Coaching Program. In this program, the juniors will have access to up to 8 hours of supervised practice each month. During these sessions the students will participate in fun, game based activities, and activities that improve their overall athletic skills while being coached by the professionals. During the sessions, the instructors will continue to evaluate each junior until they pass all skills tests for the level they are on. Some sessions each month will also include on course play, so the students can pass their scoring skills tests. Students must be enrolled in or have completed Level 1 class to sign up for this program. Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Screen and Program with Jill Finlan-Scally Do you feel you have some flexibility or strength limitations that are preventing you from swinging the golf club the way you think you should be swinging it? Or do you feel that you are physically unable to swing the golf club the way you used to be able to swing? Jill Finlan-Scally, LPGA T&CP, MOT is a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified Expert who is able to administer a screen to identify physical factors that may be preventing you from reaching your full golf potential. TPI is the premier source for golf performance research, knowledge and programs. TPI methodology stresses the importance of the body/swing connection. The premise behind this is that many golfers have physical limitations that prevent them from swinging the club the way they want to swing or the way they are being instructed to swing. Unfortunately, these physical limitations can also lead to injuries over time. These limitations may be due to lack of flexibility, insufficient strength or physical pain. TPI has developed a 16 point physical screen designed to assess limitations in flexibility and/or strength that negatively impact the efficiency of a golfer s swing. Whether you are a young

athlete who desires to play college golf or you are a weekend golfer who wants to hit the ball further and straighter, this assessment is essential to determine the path we take to improving your golf swing. Research proves that core strength, stability, balance and peripheral muscle strength are correlated with better golf performance Even if you do not desire to have a program developed for you, the 16 point screen will help determine what swing changes you cannot physically make based upon your body s limitations. Example: Screen diagnoses a significant limitation in external shoulder rotation of your trail shoulder. Your swing goal is to swing on plane or get in the slot on your downswing. Determination: You will be physically unable to get into this position. We then determine that your goal of swinging on plane does not match your current physical ability. We must come up with a modified goal for your swing or decide to start a program to improve your physical limitations. The TPI Screen and TPI Program can benefit you in the following ways: Identify physical limitations that directly relate to swing faults Reduce or eliminate physical limitations with a program prescribed for you Decrease the risk of short term and long term injuries Increase club head speed, distance and accuracy through increased rotational power, balance, flexibility and mobility Let me help you work on your swing from the inside out. TPI Physical Screen: $79 TPI Program: $199 Includes the following: Initial appointment with Jill to go over your program based upon the results of your physical screen designed by the MyTPIPro website, access to the website, rescreen appointment with Jill at end of program.
