CLIMAT HD : Climat d Hier et de Demain Climat HD offers an easy and user friendly access to state of the art knowledge on climate change in France, at the national and regional scale. An integrated approach of past and future climate(s) temperature (min, maxi, average) precipitations events (extremes or not) : warm days, icing days, heat waves and cold spells, heavy rain impacts : soil wetness, droughts, snow cover Météo-France 12
CLIMAT HD : Climat d Hier et de Demain (Tablet only) Météo-France 13
Conclusions (1) DRIAS : one of the first french achievement as climate service. A solid feedback after ~5 years of operation : very positive (approx 5000 visits/month. However, in spite of our efforts the DRIAS step remains too high for some users and the combination of past and future changes is a real expectation. Since sept 2015, Climat HD is available as a web or tablet App Météo-France 14
Conclusions (2) The scope covered by DRIAS and Climat HD is relevant for at least 3 components of the C3S (Climate Data Store, Sectorial Information Service (impacts), Outreach) The experience gathered through national Climate Services in Europe can be useful for the C3S (already the case through workshops). National Climate Services will more and more rely on Copernicus Climate Change Service, bringing downstream added-value to meet the specific needs of national users : local and/or very focussed Météo-France 15
