ENTRIES CHECK Those who have provided email addresses will be personally emailed. RIDING TIMES All email addresses received with entries will receive a personal emailed program and the times will be published on Centre-line and WC Dressage Facebook page. PASSPORTS Horses must travel with their passports. Horse Sickness and Flu Vacs must be valid for the show. Passports may be checked by the show organizers on arrival at the show. DOGS Dogs must be on leads at all times. STALLIONS Stallions ridden by responsible Juniors and Adults are permitted. SPECIAL NOTE By entering this show you agree to be bound by the relevant rules and regulations of FEI, SAEF, Dressage SA, Cape Dressage Events and SDRC and to abide by the Conditions stipulated in the schedule. Furthermore, you agree to indemnify all parties. WATER************* Due to the chronic drought all riders are requested to bring drinking water for their horses. There will be NO hoses for hosing down horses etc. Please respect the water restrictions.
DEFINITION OF AN AMATEUR RIDER 1. They have not competed in Grade EM or above in the past three years. 2. They have never represented any Provincial open dressage team or team that represents riders of Grade EM or above eg. WC Senior team. 3. Amateur riders may not be Dressage instructors. 4. Please respect the ethos of the Amateur classes which are meant to encourage newcomers to our sport. PLEASE NOTE: All riders who do not meet the above criteria but who wish to enter young horses that they feel are not ready for the Graded Championships (Sat and Sunday), may do so in specially designated Professional classes. These classes are ungraded. Pro-Classes are 11a,12a,13a,14a and15 (amateur and Pro). **NB** RULES **NB*** All Western Cape Championship Dressage tests MUST be ridden from memory and without a whip. This does not apply to Amateur classes All latest tests and rules on the DRESSAGE SA website will apply Horses / ponies must be entered and compete in the grade in which they are registered at close of entries for this show All entries for Pony Rider, Junior and Adult Novice Championship classes may not compete in the Amateur Championships (Friday). No cross entries between these 2 Championships for either horse or rider is allowed. There are specific classes for professional riders who may wish to compete young horses on the Friday in the ungraded show.
