10 Easy Steps For A Great Reebok Spartan Race Experience 1. Once you arrive at the race venue, proceed to the WAIVERS/ BIB NUMBERS tent located near the entrance to the Festival Area. 2. Fill out and sign your Participant Waiver and NBC Waiver 3. Find your BIB number located on the BIB Number wall. Write it on your waiver. 4. Proceed to REGISTRATION tent with your Waivers and Photo IdentiVication in hand. Choose the lane with the number sequence that matches your BIB number. 5. Pick up your race packet from one of our awesome volunteers. 6. Loop the yellow wristband through the timing chip and attach it to your wrist. 7. PRE- RACE DETAILS PLEASE READ Follow these Pre- Race Instructions to ensure a speedy registration on race day 1. Visit the Sacramento Spartan Super or Sacramento Spartan Sprint event pages on our website. 2. Scroll down to Important Race Documents. 3. ATHLETE START TIMES will be posted on Wednesday, October 15th. 4. BIB NUMBERS will be posted by Wednesday, October 22nd. 5. Click on the Start Times Link to ^ind your exact start time. Your name will be in alphabetical order according to your last name. There you will ^ind your heat start time. Write it down. Your BIB Number will be used to ^ind your race packet when you arrive on Race Day. 6. Print the Reebok Spartan Race Waiver and NBC Wavier located under Important Documents. 7. Fill out the waivers completely and bring it with you along with one valid form of ID. 8. EVERY RACER MUST SIGN ALL WAIVERS & SHOW A VALID FORM OF ID DO NOT FORGET YOUR PHOTO ID
RACE DAY REGISTRATION FLOW NOTE: Day of Race Registration will be available on Saturday for $200 and on Sunday for $150. Saturday: Sunday: STEP 1: STEP 2: STEP 3: NOTE: Show up at least 2 HOUR prior to your Heat Start Time at the parking lot. STEP 4: STEP 5: STEP 6: Registration OPENS at 6:00am and CLOSES at 2:30pm. Registration OPENS at 6:30am and CLOSES at 12:00pm. With your Signed Waivers, Bib Number and PHOTO IDENTIFICATION in hand, proceed to the REGISTRATION TENT. ** If you DO NOT have your Waivers or Bib Number, you can locate these at the WAIVERS/ BIB NUMBERS tents. Find the registration lane with the number sequence that matches your BIB number. Participants will hand race waivers to one of our awesome Volunteers in the Registration tent. Waivers and ID will be checked to verify identity before packet is received. You will receive: Race Bib (Bibs should be pinned on your front, back, or shorts). Spartan Headband with Bib Number- please wear headband during race so we can recognize your bib number. Wristband with your Start Time. All Racers MUST run during their designated start time. This wristband will get you into the start corral and serves as your festival access AFTER your race. Please keep it on at all times. Loop the yellow strap through the timing chip and attach it to your wrist. Free Drink ticket- Located on your bib (Don t lose this as we won t give you another one) Once you have your race packet and headband, proceed into the Festival area. BAG CHECK. If you re planning to store gear at our Bag Check tent, we will tag your bag with a wristband, which will match an identical wristband that you must wear. Once you ^inish the race, you ll need to turn in your wristband in order to collect your bag. Bags will only be returned to individuals whose name and number match up. Bags can be checked for $5 per bag. For each checked bag, you will receive $5 in Spartan Bucks, which can be redeemed at the Merchandise Tent (not valid for Food or Beverage). Saturday: Bag Check will open at 6:00am and CLOSE when the last racer picks up their bags. Sunday: Bag Check will open at 6:30am and CLOSE when the last racer picks up their bags.

AGE GROUP CHAMPIONSHIPS For the ^irst time in Spartan history, Spartans across the US are competing in the Reebok Spartan Race Age Group Championships on both the East and West Coasts. The fastest male and female obstacles racers on the West Coast are competing for cash in the each of the following age groups; 16-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+. In order to be considered eligible for an age group award, racers must be running as individuals and MUST have a start time between 7:30am and 12:00pm on Saturday. Red armbands will to be provided at the start line ONLY to racers that wish to be identi^ied as age group participants. By wearing a red armband, racers are acknowledging that they will adhere to all course rules and attempt all obstacles as required. Referees will be stationed at each obstacle to con^irm that all racers wearing an armband complete every obstacle or all burpees. If a racer wearing an armband DOES NOT complete an obstacle, they must do the 30 burpee penalty. If a racer does NOT complete ALL burpees, or skips burpees entirely, the racer will be removed from the age group competition by the onsite timing team. Age Group Awards: Age Group Awards will at 2:00pm on Saturday ONLY. The top 5 male and female racers in each age group will receive a cash prize of $500, $200, $100, $50, and $50. The top 3 Elite Racers are not eligible for the both the elite award AND age group awards. There is no double- dipping on awards. COURSE DESCRIPTION Terrain: This course is 100% off- road. Since this is a giant cattle ranch, the entire course is extremely rough and littered with cow- tracks and rolling hills. You will be running through natural ponds and man- made pits. If it rains before or during the race, the course will become one of the most slippery courses in Spartan Race history - tie your shoes tight and make sure you have good treads. Run carefully if you have a history of ankle problems. Weather: Mostly Sun. Mid of 70s, Low of 45. Winds up to 8 mph. 0-20% chance of rain on race day. Water Stations: As always, Spartans come prepared All racers should be sure to bring extra water and energy fuel if needed. There will be four water stations on course and one at the Finish Line. Headlamp Cutoff: All racers on Saturday reaching the Monkey Bar Obstacle at 2.6miles after 4:00pm must have a headlamp or be with other racers that have a light source on them. Failure to have a light source or be with others with a light source may result in being pulled from the course due to the increased risk after the sun has gone down. Course Cutoff: There will be a course cutoff at 5:30pm on Saturday. Racers may be pulled from course at the discretion of the race director. Racers not reaching the sandbag carry at Mile 6 may be removed from course for their own safety.
EVENT TIMING You will receive a Chip Timer ($40 value) and yellow wrist strap to record your time and results. Chip Timer must be fastened around wrist in order to record your ^inish time properly. Upon completion of the race at the Finish line: o Drop Chip Timer and wrist strap into buckets at either side of the Finish Line. o You will then receive your Spartan Race Medal and T- Shirt. Finisher Times will be posted at the Results Tent near the Finish Line and will be on the Spartan Race Website as quickly as possible. SGX WARM UP AREA Wondering how to warm up before the race? AWARDS SATURDAY: The Awards Ceremony will be held at 11:50am on Saturday and Sunday. The top 3 male and 3 female ELITE Heat racers will receive a cash prize of $500, $200, and $100 respectfully, Saturday only. The top 3 male and 3 female racers will also receive a Unique Reebok Spartan Race Plaque designed by one of our most loyal racers. Each of the top 3 male and females will also be featured on Spartan Race's Wall of Champions page, Saturday and Sunday. Age Group Awards: The Top 3 overall male and female ^inishers in each age group will be awarded a prize must be present in order to receive award, they can not be shipped. FESTIVAL CHALLENGES While you are waiting to race or looking for an extra workout, try out one of our Festival Challenges. Test your skills on the Traverse Wall, see how many pull- ups you can do at our Pull- up Challenge, how many times you can ^lip a Tractor Tire, or see how many times you can push press our Slosh Pipe. 1 st place male and female challenge winners receive a Free Race Entry to the Spartan Race event of their choice. Traverse Wall Challenge An exact replica of the wall we use on course. The goal is to get across the wall without falling off and ring the bell in the fastest time Slosh Pipe Press A PVC pipe capped at both ends and ^illed with water. The tube is only ^illed to about 60% capacity, which allows the water to slosh around. How many times can you press the Slosh Pipe in one minute? Tire Flip Challenge Flip a tractor tire as many times as possible in 60 seconds. Clif Builders Bar Pull Up Challenge Cameras will record this entire challenge in hopes of documenting a new Guinness World Record for most pull- ups in one minute. This challenge will last all day, winner announced at the end of the day. The Jackson Road turn onto the Van Vleck property comes up quickly, as you ll be turning directly off the highway. Please slow down once you begin to see Spartan Race signage. For directions, click here. Parking: Opens at 6am. Parking is $10. Come in through the main gate at 7879 Van Vleck Road located 25 miles East of Sacramento off of Route 16 / Jackson Rd. Each lot can hold hundreds, if not thousands, of cars so please remember where you parked. Also, please give yourself ample time to check in and get to the start line - aim to arrive at the Parking lot at least 1 hour before your scheduled heat. No overnight camping is allowed. SPECTATORS Spectator passes are available here online for $20 until Friday 5pm.Passes will be available onsite for $25. Please come by the Spectator Tent to pick up your wristband. Please print the Spectator Waiver from the Sacramento Event Page and bring an ID to the Spectator Tent on race day. Spectator maps will be available at the Spectator Tent for those looking to get close to the action. Anyone entering the festival MUST ^ill out a Spartan Race Spectator waiver and NBC waiver and have a wristband (including racers). Food (BBQ and healthy options) and drink will be for sale (please bring cash). Unique Spectator Course access with obstacle viewing, to get your favorite Spartan Racer s pictures DJ & Emcee entertainment all day. FACILITIES Porta- Potties will be located throughout the festival area. Washing Stations are located on- site, but bring a towel and a change of clothes. SPARTAN INFORMATION ALL CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES. LEAVING YOUR CHILD UNATTENDED WHILE YOU ARE RACING WILL RESULT IN BEING PULLED OFF THE COURSE AND ASKED TO LEAVE. No pop- up tents are allowed in the festival. Tent space is reserved for Sponsors. No coolers or glass bottles allowed on property. Security staff will check for them as you enter. Shoe and clothing donation available both in festival and in parking lots. If you want to donate your muddy clothing and shoes make sure you drop it off at the proper tent and not on the ground. If you wear a GoPro, please make sure your contact information (name & phone number) is somewhere on the camera. If you lose the camera on the course, this is the only way we are able to identify it. You must have ID to check in. Racers ages 13 and older can participate in the adult s race. 13 year olds require a guardian to run with them on the adult course. Those under 13 are encouraged to join the Kids race. No DOGS/ pets allowed - Only Service Dogs with proper credentials are allowed.
