ALPINE EXPEDITION ASOFRAME CARBON KEVLAR The ASOFRAME structure joins the toe and heel counters in one uniform chassis. Only weighing 125 grams (UK 8) in its lightest form on the new EIGER GV product, it is comprised of 2 materials - Carbon and Kevlar that are bonded together to offer maximum torsional and lateral rigidity while being virtually indestructible. In order to accept automatic crampons, a low-profile, dual-density microporous midsole is combined with 2 rigid PU tools in the heel and toe areas. Maximum lightness, shape-resistant, and optimal performance are some of the concept construction characteristics. ALPINE CLIMBING Developed for professional climbers, who are seeking the finest in performance and technical innovation. The new boots which are fully compatible with automatic crampons, have been designed, developed and rigorously tested with particular attention to the detail of the upper and outersole structure. Three new elements combine together to make up an enveloping, protective and high performance structure. Pebax moulded front crampon attachment. Frame + Pebax rear crampon attachment. Shock absorbing PU inserts. VERTICAL TECHNOLOGY The lateral shell is an injection moulded TPU. It is positioned alongside the lateral rubber rand and heel locking feature to provide enhanced support and protection. Rubber outsole jointly developed by Asolo/Vibram HEEL LOCKING The rubber heel protection provides heel locking and heel support. It is integrated with the lateral rubber rand and with the lateral shell, to create a protective shell which permanently maintains the perfect heel shape. Creates a highly precise and customized crampon adjustement. User adjustable for custom design (weigth gr 420/pair). The articulation slot C serves as a barycentre for the front structure, which working in conjunction with points A and B enables to move forward and backward. In this way, you have a 7mm spur s extent. It is also developed in order to enable a 2,5 lateral rotation (both inside and outside). This new system allows adjustability in different positions and fine tuning by the user. You can adjust the crampon rear part in the same manner as the front by acting on the screws D,E,F then moving back and forward to the desired setting (up to 5 mm back and forth movement.) The high-density front portion secures and guarantees maximum stability. The medium-density heel reduces shock and resulting fatigue during take-off and landing. Further shock absorption is obtained through the four strategically placed low-density cylinders that are linked from the outsole to the midsole. Gripped with a dual-density molded rubber outsole produced in conjunction with Vibram, the arch area uses a very high-density rubber to maximize support over the long-haul while the balance of the outsole has self-cleaning lugs designed for optimum performance on varying types of terrain. These shock absorbers can be identified by their different color respect to the sole. The shock absorbers are created by combining two polyurethane layers - one of high and one of low density. These layers are individually coloured using a new and innovative technology. The TPS sole improves comfort, stability and has a very distinctive look.
