DATES OF CRUISE From 15 Ferb.-2012 To 14 March.-2012 3. a) PURPOSE OF RESEARCH IBTS, International Bottom Trawl Survey, coordinated by ICES. Estimating indexes for demersal species like cod, whiting, plaice etc, including herring larvae sampling and hydrographical sections, and a new sampling scheme for herring larva process studies (feeding).a hydrographical transect will be taken from Utsira (Norw) to Startpoint (Startpoint) along 59.283 Deg N (including algae nets). b) GENERAL OPERATIONAL METHODS (including full description of any fish gear, trawl type, mesh size, etc.) G.O.V.-trawl, MIK-net, WP2-net, phytoplankton-net, water bottles, CTD, MOCNESS, midwater trawl, fine mesh plankton nets and optical counters etc (MESSOR) 4.
