Dear SO Eastern Region Table Tennis Club, The Table Tennis Regional Advancement Event will take place this year on the following date: April 13 th 2013 Sportsco, Ringsend The event entry fee is 15 per athlete this must be paid in total per club no later than April 5 th 2013. The Overview by Sport has been added online and can be accessed by clicking on the following link Table Tennis - Overview by Sport Divisioning: Athletes will be divisioned based on age/gender/ability as per the Special Olympics International Rules. Athletes have been preliminary divisioned based on their scores submitted by their Head Coach which you will see included in this pack. A divisioning round on the morning of competition will be the overriding consideration when creating final divisions. Athletes in the doubles event will be divisioned as per the highest graded athlete in a team. Directions to Sportsco: Sportsco Leisure Centre is Located just off South Lotts Road, Ringsend, Dublin 4. Take Pearse Street going away from the city centre Continue onto Ringsend Road, crossing over Grand Canal Basin. Once on Ringsend Road, take the second right onto South Lotts Road Take the first left and continue down the lane to arrive at Sportsco Leisure Centre
Advancement Events take place within a 4-year-cycle. Athletes competing in this year s events have advanced from their Area Event which took place in 2012. Athletes competing in this event may advance to Ireland Games in 2014 and from there they may again advance to Represent Team Ireland in World Games 2015.
