Captain s kits, booklets have been distributed before the meeting. All captains must provide their team s players list and the TFIM registration fees ($35 per player) for each of their team player to the statistician of their level. The shipment for the balls has not arrived to the Carrefour Multisport club in time for the captains meeting. June 8 Emails exchanges with Richard Quirion, Tennis Canada representative, in order to organise the «Réception des Dames Iris de la Coupe Rogers. 2. June 14 Emails exchanges with Marie Andrée Gadoury, Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation representative, asking us CA pictures to include in an article regarding TFIM in the September issue of the «Ruban Rose» magazine. 3. June 30 Emails exchanges Ben Michaud and Doug Coombs, Wilson representatives, to discuss the contract renewal between Wilson and TFIM. A meeting took place on August 16 2010. The contract was renewed for 1 year. 4. July 10 Reception of the Finals 2010 pictures CD from M. Marcel Lefebvre. 5. July 15 Emails exchanges with Jim Glanville, The Essex Vermont Spa Resort representative, in order to obtain the publicity page to print in the booklet. 6. July 20 Emails exchanges with Carrefour Multisports in order to reserve a room for the 1st captains meeting of season 2010 2011. 7. July 26 Emails exchanges with Benoît Gravel, Yonex representative, in order to discuss a possible sponsorship from Yonex for balls used by TFIM. Discussions are underway. TFIM will need to test de balls.

8. July 26 Emails exchanges with Julie Staples. Rogers Cup invitation and possible distribution of tickets to assist to the final of the MIELE League Challenge on August 21 at Uniprix Stadium. 9. July 27 Beginning of the follow ups with the clubs that still have not submitted their team registration (due date was July 3): IDS, Carrefour Multisports, Piedmont, West Island, Sanctuaire. 10. July 27 Katie Therrien, West Island Club representative, informs us that the tennis department of the West Island Club will close on August 31 2010. 11. July 27 Emails exchanges with Gilbert St Jean, CDL pro responsible, regarding the CDL teams registrations. The registration of certain teams is related to the close of the West Island Club. Final confirmation of teams registration was received on September 6. 12. July 28 Emails exchanges with Jean Pierre Langlois, Babolat representative, in order to discuss a possible sponsorship from Yonex for balls used by TFIM. A meeting took place on August 25 2010. Discussions are underway. TFIM will need to test de balls. 13. August 2 Emails exchanges with Louise Lefebvre for the TFIM Booklets printing. The Booklets were picked up on September 9. 14. August 2 Emails exchanges with Nancy Biggs, Tenniscores representative, in order to get the required fixes for TFIM needs. The desired fixes have been deployed into production on September 10 2010. 15. August 8 Emails exchanges with Paul Patenaude, ACTIQ President, in order to establish the TFIM matches fees pour the 2010 2011 season. The fees have been established to 14.50$/player. 16. August 19 Follow up with Tennis 13 in order to clarify the relocation of the Level 1 West Island team at Tennis 13. 17. August 19 Emails exchanges with Gilbert St Jean, CDL pro responsible, regarding the level of one player. 18. August 24 Phone call received from a former West Island player informing us that the club might stay open, and asking us an additional delay for team registration. 19. August 27 Captains meeting convocation sent out to captains. 20. August 31 Emails exchanges in order to coordinate the evaluation of one player who was not able to show up for the evaluation this past May. 21. Sept. 3 «Captains kit» sent out to captains. 22. Sept. 6 Memo to the Pro Responsible in order to obtain the list of coaches for each team, including their email addresses, to allow them to access Tenniscores and obtain the CRAs for their teams players. 23. Sept. 6 Discussion with Ginette Crotty, Sani Brossard pro responsible, regarding the level of one player.

24. Sept. 9 CRAs to be used for the September 16 and 17 matches sent out to all Pro Responsible. The CRAs are based on the new rules, but calculated with the 2009 2010 players results. The Pro Responsibles have received the CRAs for their club only. 25. Sept. 8 Follow up with Wilson to ensure that the balls will be shipped in time at Carrefour Multisports. 26. Sept 10 Email / Call with Wilson to find out where the balls are at (?) 27. Sept 12 Procedures documents to access the CRAs are sent out to captains. 28. Sept 12 Procedures documents to access the CRAs are sent out to the Pro Responsibles. 107 Finances Andrea Fersten, treasurer, presents her financial report. On September 12, 2010, the results show that the excess of the revenues over the expenses for the period of June 1st to September 12 2010 is $6,133.53 and the account balance as of September 12, 2010 is $16,959.80. CA.01 200. CURRENT BUSINESS 201 Team registration Level 1: 9 teams (IDS withdrew 1 team during the week end prior to the meeting) Level 2: 19 teams Level 3: 15 teams Level 4: 18 teams (Carrefour withdrew during the meeting) At the end of the meeting, there are 61 teams registered in TFIM for Levels 1 to 4. IDS A or IDS B will be replaced with a bye. Level 3 : replace CDL C with a bye.

Level 4 : Carrefour is withdrawing. As Level 4 already had a bye before the withdrawing, the schedule will be re worked during the week. Captains will receive the revised schedule via email. Marilou reinstate that it is always a very tedious job to work out the matches schedule for all the teams. Different variables have to be taken into account such as: clubs requirements, addition/withdrawal of teams, availability of courts, home/away balance, migration of WI players, etc. Key dates: Level 1 and 2 : Sept. 17 Dec. 10 and Jan. 7 Mar. 18 Level 3 and 4 : Sept. 16 Dec. 9 and Jan.6 Mar. 17 No pause for school break Replay for cancelled match (snow): March 24 and 25 A vote was taken on the desire to play the matches scheduled Jan. 6 7, 2011 and the majority voted yes. The matches will be played as planned. Changes to the schedule in booklet (page 44): Level 1: to be confirmed (replace IDS A or B with a bye) Level 3: replace CDL C with bye Level 4: changes to be provided later in the week Notes for Level 2 captains: Captains from Brossard B, Boucherville B, IDS B and IDS D are to talk to Marilou after the meeting to discuss the November 26 th match time. For this season, matches played at Longueuil have to be played on different surfaces. Courts 1 and 2 matches will be played on the new surface and court 3 matches will be played on the old surface. 204 Captains responsibilities and reminder of main rules Captains are invited to refer to page 13 of the booklet to read the captains responsibilities. Matches must start 15 minutes following the warm up period (10 :15 and 10 :45 for level 3 playing at IDS). The receiving team captain must update the website (tenniscores) with the match s results the day of the match. The visiting team captain must verify the results entered on the website within the next 48 hours following the match. 205 Rogers cup and Miele League challenge Rogers Cup Tickets purchased: 291 level 200, 46 level 300, 19 access 5.00$ For 2011, the majority has voted for Wednesday as the designated day for TFIM members to attend The Rogers Cup. Miele League challenge 2 teams represented TFIM during the June 2010 regional championship. 1 Montreal team won (not TFIM).

Information regarding the 2011 edition of the Challenge will be posted on the TFIM website as soon as available (i.e., still to come). 206 Rules of the court (Tennis Canada) To order the rule book, fill out the order form (annex 52) and hand it in to Andrea Fersten (cost is 14$). 207 CRA/Tenniscores CRA Key items to remember regarding the CRA for season: 2010 2011 The CRA is recalculated after each match. The CRA is calculated according to the revised weight table (i.e., X points for win on court 1 in 2 sets, Y points for win on court 1 in 3 sets, etc.). The CRA is calculated based on the last 10 matches. The CRA is available on Tenniscores upon the entry of the matches results (automatically recalculated). Captain and coach of team A can ONLY see the CRAs of team A. The coach must assign a temporary CRA for a new player. If rule 2.2.6 is not followed, the team at fault loses the courts that have been inverted (no protest required). Players averages will also be impacted. Tenniscores Captains are invited to consult the following procedures that are included in the captains kit: WEB01: How to create an account on (for players, captains and coaches). WEB02: How to create an account on Tenniscores (for players, captains and coaches). IMPORTANT: COACHES MUST HAVE AN ACCOUNT ON TENNISCORES TO HAVE ACCESS TO THE CRAS WEB03 : Tennisscores (for captains) WEB04 : CRAs on Tennisscores (for captains and coaches) A quick review of how to update of your team is presented: Select équipes teams under the menu «league administration». Captains must add their coach to their team as co captain to give him or her access to the CRAs. Changes to a team roster can be made in the same manner as last year. To access CRAs Select équipes in the menu at the top of the page. Select the desired team. The name of the coach will appear as co captain The CRA of a substitute player will be that of her level and should be disregard 208 1$ for 1 ace The same concept as last year will be followed again this season. Captains should fill the score sheets the same way, writing down the # of aces hit on each court in the appropriate box on the score sheet. Last year, TFIM collected 3 108.58$ that was donated to the Quebec Breast Caner Foundation

CA.01 300 AFFAIRES NOUVELLES 301 Balls contract The contract with Wilson has been renewed for 1 season only. Wilson offers a low service level; as an example, they were not able to deliver the balls in time for this meeting even though the shipment request has been made on August 20 th 2010. The CA will work to test different brands of balls over this season (e.g., Babolat and Yonex). There are possibilities to sign a better contract (i.e., prices, sponsored items, and service level) with a different provider. 302 Date of next captain meetings The next captains meeting will take place on March 28, 2011 (the location is still to be determined). CA.01 400 VARIA Not applicable. CA.01 500 CLOSING OF THE MEETING As the Wilson shipment has not been received, the draw for a Wilson racquet is postponed to the next captains meeting. The closing of the meeting at 11:40 is proposed by Huguette Sentenne (Boucherville II C) and adopted by Barbara Schwartz (Tennis 13 IIC). Signature of the President:...
