Volunteer Opportunities The Beach FC Recreation program needs YOUR help with field set-up and take-down on Saturday game-days and for periodic field maintenance. Contact the office for details. Game Jerseys During the registration process, players indicated their t-shirt sizes. This size is shown on your roster If players are added to your roster, we will order another shirt for that player. Printing vendor available on site or use any you wish (not required by our league) Pass cost on to parent typically $3-5 per shirt

Pictures Focus On Sports Focus on sports will schedule your teams pictures and your AGC will send out the schedule on March 18 th plus it will be available online. Picture dates will be April 2 nd and April 16 th. There is an additional charge to purchase pictures, coaches have information in your coach packet Please do not hand out packets until the practice prior to your picture date!

U4 Player Characteristics Pyscho-motor characteristics Children are very similar in both size and weight Fundamental movement phase of life, where locomotive activities such as running and jumping, as well as stabilizing activities such as one-foot balancing and stopping can be achieved High energy level but only for short periods of time. Breaks in games and activities should be given often but for short periods so they can continue at the same high energy level. Give breaks for one to two minutes and then get them back into the activities. Cognitive Characteristics Have difficulty sharing; they want the ball for themselves. No concerns for team concepts. Short attention spans. Prefer playing to watching. Parents have the biggest influence. Need lots of positive reinforcement and praise Psycho-social characteristics ME orientated, which means that they have difficultly sharing, no concerns for team and are prone to exaggerate their own needs. Give players plenty of positive reinforcement and praise. Keep them moving and give them lots of space to move in

Concussion Recognition and Response Policy Heads Up Concussion Training - HEADS UP Concussion in Youth Sports is a FREE, online course available to coaches, parents, and others helping to keep athletes safe from concussion. It features interviews with leading experts, dynamic graphics and interactive exercises, and compelling storytelling to help you recognize a concussion and know how to respond if you think that your athlete might have a concussion. The focus of this grassroots course is to share U.S. Soccer s best practices in creating a fun, activitycentered and age-appropriate environment for 5-8 year old players.
