Bed linen is provided, but please bring your own towels. Please do not plug in any electric appliances as this will trip the power supply. Bedrooms; o 4 bed rondavels, 5 bed chalets and 6 bed chalets: one separate bedroom whilst the rest of the beds are open-plan in the kitchen. o 4 Bed chalets have 2 separate bedrooms. CAMPING all campsites have lots of shade and a plug point (3-point plug, 5amp). Please note no appliances with elements to be plugged in, as this will trip your power supply. It is recommended to use gas as no kitchen / fridge / freezer facilities are provided. There are six shared ablution facilities with hot / cold water servicing both camping and the dive camp area in the resort. Please do not tamper with any resort electrics of any sort, as this will be considered as a serious offence. TENTS ON DECKING 2-man dome tents with 2 single beds situated in the dive camp area. Please note, these are not en-suite, occupants must use the shared ablution facilities. Please provide your own towels. The kitchen is equipped with basic utensils, pots, pans, and gas stove; please bring crockery and cutlery as these are not supplied. No electrical plug points are supplied to the tents. Fridge/freezer space is allocated to all guests staying in the dive camp accommodation. NO flames are permitted (including stoves, candles, mosquito burners etc.) inside the tents or on the wooden decks. There is a Braai area available at the activity centre. Tents should be occupied with 80% divers in high and prime season. LOG HUTS wooden huts with twin beds and linen, situated in the dive camp. Please note, these are not en-suite, occupants must use the shared ablution facilities. Booking Policies 1. General Policies. Please use your reservation name & number as a reference when making payments. A proof of payment needs to be faxed or emailed tomozambique Connection. All bookings will be considered provisional until we have received and confirmed proof of payment. 2. Booking Policies The maximum occupancy of the accommodation at Complexo Turistico Da Ponta Malongane. is not to be exceeded. Camping is allowed only at the demarcated camping areas strictly NO camping allowed in front of any accommodation. During high / prime season, priority for tents and log huts will be for divers. There is no additional freezer space provided by Complexo Turistico Da Ponta Malongane. The kitchen in the Dive Camp is strictly for the use of guests staying in the log huts and tents. 3. Tariffs and Increases Complexo Turistico Da Ponta Malongane operates on a three rate basis: low season, high season and prime Season, these rates will be specified each year. Prices will usually increase each year due to inflation, circumstances beyond our control or site and equipment improvements and/or maintenance. Usually, long weekends and school holidays are charged at high/prime season rates. Only payment in full (including extras, such as dives or meals, etc.) will secure the current rate for your booking. No exceptions will be made. Please note the compulsory dates on certain allocated periods.

General Rules and Some Useful Information 1. Infrastructure. Electricity Electricity to the resort is supplied by Eskom via Maputo. With the exception of power failures, the resort has electricity 24 hours a day. Complexo Turistico Da Ponta Malongane a backup generators in case of an emergency. o Please note: The use of private generators is strictly prohibited within the Resort. In addition, NO appliances with elements can be used, as they trip the power. Water The water from our taps is fresh borehole water. Please remember that as drinking water is precious, we ask guests to please refrain from using hosepipes for car and sea vessel washing. It is recommended to bring your own water for this purpose. Road there are only sand roads in the resort; the roads to the resort are tar all the way to the border post through South Africa. There is a beach road from the border post to Complexo Turistico Da Ponta Malongane and a 4x4 is recommended or at the very least a 2x4 with a diff-lock. Although there are no tar roads in the Malongane area,the roads you will be travelling are still National and sub-national roads. o Though they may be soft sand and riddled with potholes, the law still needs to be enforced at all times when travelling on these National and/or sub-national roads (same as in South Africa). There is a service available which can only be arranged on arrival for people who would like to leave their vehicles at the Kosi Bay border at a secure parking which is charged per vehicle per day. Petrol & diesel is available at Ponta do Ouro, approx. 8km from the resort. Cell phone signal - Mobile phone signal is available in the resort if you have roaming on your contract, otherwise there is signal outside the resort please confirm with reception in the resort. Please note that driving on Signal Hill is prohibited, since it is private property. 2. Border Transfers. All border transfers must be booked and paid at least two weeks before your arrival. Border transfers are done from the Kosi Bay Border only. All late/non-arrivals will be charged in full. Pick up times are 10H00 & 14H00. Drop off times are 09H00 & 13H00. o o Vehicles will only wait at the border for a maximum of 30 minutes. Please note if you do not arrive on time and a vehicle should return for your transfer, you will be charged double your border transfers. 3. Check-In/Out Check in is from 14H00 and check out is by 10H00 on the day of departure. Early check out (before 07H00) is, please make arrangements with the reception the day before departure. The resort requires a key deposit of R150 on arrival at the resort. Key deposits will be refunded on departure only after the resort housekeeping team has checked your accommodation and signed the back of your slip. You will need to present this slip to the reception in order to check out. 4. Currencies South African Rand, US$ and Meticais are all accepted currencies at the Complexo Turistico Da Ponta Malongane. The basic currency is Rand, the resort applies its own exchange rate (according to the bank rate at the time) for US$ and Meticais, which in general is changed every week. Please note that there is only VISA credit card facilities at the resort - please ensure you bring sufficient cash for the duration of your stay. 5. Food and Beverage The resort has a restaurant and two bars meaning that you do not have to self-cater unless you want to. We have some of the best chefs in Mozambique with a wonderful affordable of both Mozambican and Portuguese dishes. We also have a shop on site where you can buy a few essentials, snacks, ice and freshly baked Pao bread. The Loggerhead bar (adjacent to the main restaurant) open from 08H00 till late. The Fish Eagle restaurant is open from 08H00 for breakfast with the last orders taken by 21H00. The Nascer Do Sol Bar (situated at the dive camp) is open from 08H00 till late. o Please leave the glasses at the bar. o Alcohol will not be sold to persons under the age of 18. o Please note: Only drinks purchased from the bars/ restaurant can be consumed within the bars/restaurants. No catering contractors (except those pre-approved by the resort) may cater within the resort. 6. Housekeeping All accommodation (excluding deck tents, log huts and camping) are serviced on a daily basis by our housekeeping team. Please remember that whilst bed linen is supplied in some accommodation you will still need to bring towels. If you are in tents on the ground you will need to bring your own mattresses and linen.

Any problems with the accommodation must be reported to the reception on arrival. Many of our guests begin their activities early in the morning, please respect this and keep noise to a minimum after 21H00. 7. Diving & Ocean Safaris. There is a dive planning meeting every evening at 17H00 in the dive camp. Please note: only the dive camp staff can arrange dives or make changes. All divers will be required to show their valid C-card and log book to the dive camp staff before diving. We reserve the right to prevent a diver from diving if this information is not valid. All dives confirmed during dive planning will be charged in full. Management at the Resort reserves the right to change dive or safari planning where necessary and this decision will be final. Equipment is to be booked and paid for at the resort. The resort reserves the following rights: a) not to launch if there are 5 or less paying divers on a boat b) the discretion to choose and allocate reefs c) not to launch if there are 8 or less paying non-divers ( i.e. ocean safari) on a boat, d) to limit diving time to 55 minutes (this includes safety stops) in high seasons. Strictly no Scuba diving from private boats is allowed. No private compressor for cylinder filling is allowed in and near the resort Reef tax is STRICTLY payable at the resort. Reef tax is R20.00 per diver for a 7-day stay this is subject to change by the Mozambican Government. 8. Fishing One of the most popular activities here at Malongane with fishing charters available on request. If you would like to go deep-sea fishing you can bring your own boat and equipment, the tractor is available for hire to put the boat in and out of the water. It is also possible to fish straight off the point and the beach of Malongane. Malongane is a spear fishermans paradise. A fish cleaning area is provided outside the dive camp please use it. Also note that this is where your boat should be warmed up and cleaned. PLEASE NOTE: NO BOTTOM FISHING IS ALLOWED. By law a fishing licence is required in Mozambique - please ensure you have it in place before launching. Also note you need a license when targeting bill fish. 9. Launching Fees Please note: It is compulsory to pay a launching fee for motorised vessels. On arrival please enquire with the resort regarding payment. Please also ensure you have paid prior to launching your boat. 10. Jet Ski s The Marine Protected Area designations have been finalised. At the moment those most affected will be fishermen and Jet skis. Only Jetski's used for fishing and those registered in Mozambique for surf rescue are allowed. Strictly no bottom fishing is allowed, any vessel with bottom fishing equipment on board will face severe penalties. There are only three Dolphin watching concessions allocated for this area, one for Complexo Turistico Da Ponta Malongane and two in nearby Ponta d Ouro. 11. Licenses You are required by law to have a valid skippers licence for all motorised vessels in Mozambique. Please note:a fishing licence is required in Mozambique - please ensure you have it in place before launching. Also note you need a license when targeting bill fish. 12. Boats Please check your map the warming up area, cleaning area for your ctches and trailer parking while you are on the water. Please do not park in the roads or on the beach. All boats must comply with necessary safety equipment; e.g. life jackets etc. Please clean up any oil or petrol spills as soon as possible. 13. Driving/Parking The speed limit in the resort is 20kmp/h. Please park only in the designated areas in the resort (do not park in the roads or on the grass). In case of any problems with parking, please contact the reception or the resort manager as soon as possible. Please note, that driving and parking on the beach is not allowed in Southern Mozambique, this includes the beach surrounding Complexo Turistico Da Ponta Malongane. We advise all guests to bring a spare set of keys for their vehicles as these can be easily lost overboard.

14. Quad Bikes/ Bikes/ATV All quad bikes, bikes, ATV ss must be parked in the secure bike parking area at the reception (unless taken by trailer to your accommodation). There is no driving of bikes allowed in the resort at any time. Please note: Driving on the beach in Mozambique is illegal. 15. Flora and Fauna Guests and visitors must not utilise fauna and flora in and around the resort, wood or charcoal is available for purchase from the local villagers just outside the resort. Please do not braai on the grass areas. No fires are allowed on the beach without the permission of the resort manager. Anyone who is reported to management or found to be damaging the reefs, fish, marine life, or removing things from the reefs, will not be allowed to dive in the future. 16. Wild Animals and Pets No pets are allowed - if you bring your pet you will not be allowed to check in at the resort. It is strictly forbidden to feed any animals in the resort, this is for your own safety. 17. Medical Aid Kit Please bring your own first aid kit. There is a small clinic in Ponta D Oura, but the nearest hospital in situated in Manguzi, South Africa which is approximately 15-20km from the Kosi Bay border. 18. Casual Staff It is possible to hire casual staff to assist you. Check at reception for available help on arrival. Please ensure that you negotiate a wage beforehand, casual workers are from the community and are not part of our team, we are not responsible for them. Casual workers are forbidden to work between 18H00-06H00. Complexo Turistico Da Ponta Malongane reserves the right of admission. 19. Security. Complexo Turistico Da Ponta Malongane has 24 hour security, however we the resort and its staff are unable to take responsibility for any stolen or damaged goods during your stay with us. Complexo Turistico Da Ponta Malongane reserves the right of admission at all times. 20. Marketing No personal marketing or networking may be done in the resort with guests that do not make part of your group. Mozambique - General Information 1. Visas / Passports Do not forget your passport! South African passport holders do not need to obtain a visa in order to enter into Mozambique. All other passport holders will require a visa in order to enter Mozambique. 2. Border Charges Usual opening times (Times can change from time to time): Kosi Bay border post; 08H00 17H00, seven days a week Komatipoort border; 06H00 22H00 3. Vehicles Do not forget your vehicle registration documentation. By law you are required to purchase third party vehicle insurance of approximately R150 per vehicle and R90 per trailer at the border post. These charges can change at any time by the Mozambican Government. 4. Taxes Any prices in the resort include 17% I.V.A. 5. Malaria Complexo Turistico Da Ponta Malongane is situated in a malaria area, please take the appropriate precautions.
