Go west (up) Glenrosa Road from the Glenrosa Road Hwy 97 interchange (at the Gorman Bros. Lumber Mill). The parking lot is on the left hand side. There is a large sign at the entrance to our parking lot. The Lodge is located 200 meters from the black parking lot gate. is a 25 minute drive from downtown Kelowna and 15 minutes from downtown West Kelowna. It is in the Building at the Range. RIFLE IMPORT REGULATIONS Teams and individual competitors from outside of Canada must declare their rifles at the Canadian border, complete the necessary documentation, and pay the required fees when bringing rifles and ammunition into Canada. All athletes must register their own rifles and pay the applicable fee. Refer to the guidelines on the Canadian Government website at: www.cbsa asfc.gc.ca/import/iefw iefa eng.html RULES International Union (IBU) rules and regulations shall apply as fully as possible. Canada rules shall apply for classes not covered in IBU rules, with modified rules for Junior Boys/Girls and younger classes as per Appendix C of the BC Hosting Policy (November 2016). Masters are to carry their rifles in the Male and Female categories.
2. Competition Information ENTRY FEES $35 per competition for Junior Boys/Girls, Senior Boys/Girls, Youth Men/Women, Junior Men/Junior Women, and Men/Women. $30 per competition for Juvenile, Midget, Recreational, Cadet and Masters. Award reception tickets are $7.50 per person and can be purchased on line when registering. Registration is only through Zone4.ca; no late entries will be allowed. DEADLINES Registration by number: Coaches, please inform us of number of athletes, their gender, and category, and support personnel attending by December 1, 2016. Please email this information to the Competition Secretary at tncbiath@telus.net Registration closes on Zone4.ca on Wednesday December 14, 2016 @23:59hrs or until Participation Quota is reached. PARTICIPATION QUOTA Maximum total number of participants will be 100 based on a first registration received basis. VERIFICATION OF ENTRIES Entries will be confirmed on December 16, 2016 at the Team Captain s Meeting. CANCELLATION POLICY If an athlete withdraws before Wednesday, December 14, a $15 processing fee will apply before a refund is sent. No refund for withdrawals will be given after this date. Should the event be cancelled, the BC Hosting Policy (Nov. 2016) will be adhered to in order to determine refund levels, if any. ELIGIBILITY All competitors must be current members of Canada or an equivalent organization. All BC competitors must provide a valid BC membership number during Zone4 registration. Competitors who do not have a valid Canada or US membership will not be eligible to compete. BC members in good standing are eligible to receive full benefit of results in BiBC programs, such as BC Cup points, team or squad selection. Any member of Canada or other IBU Nations in good standing may enter, but will not be eligible for BC programs and awards. AWARDS For all classes except Recreation, Juvenile and Midget: medals for first three places will be awarded in classes with four or more competitors; in classes with three competitors, medals will be awarded for first and second place; in classes with two competitors, a medal will be awarded for first place only; and in classes with one competitor there will be podium recognition only. Podium recognition will also occur for 4 th, 5 th and 6 th place finishers. In the Recreation, Juvenile and Midget classes, all competitors will receive participation awards. SELECTION CRITERIA This is a selection competition for BC athletes for the BC Team for Nationals; please refer to www.biathlonbc.ca for more information. 3.
