We proudly offer the following: 6, plexi-cushion tournament tennis courts, enclosed and heated during the winter and open/outdoor during the summer. 2, Quick Start tennis courts designed for children ages 4-10 Pro Shop Viewing area Tennis Lessons Cardio Tennis classes USTA leagues and team tennis options FAC leagues Video analysis of strokes and match play APEX Peak Performance Tennis Academy Racquet stringing Ball machine rental Professional Tennis Staff consisting of top Junior and Adult Tennis Pros in Northwest Arkansas HOURS OF OPERATION Monday Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday 6:00am 10:00pm 6:00am 8:00pm 7:00am 8:00pm GUEST POLICIES Guests must play with a member. $20 per person guest fee Each guest may play a maximum of 3 times per year COURT RESERVATIONS AND FEES Tennis memberships are required for all participants to play tennis at FAC. As an added benefit, court fees are complimentary for all adult FAC tennis members. Courts may be reserved 72 hours in advance. In person or phone reservations only. Reservations may be made for 30, 60 or 90 minutes All players names must be given at the time of the reservation No more than 1 reservation within a 72 hour period 24 hour cancellation policy applies or the player will be charged $20 cancellation fee. If the court can be filled by another member, when cancelling with less than a 24 hour notice, the cancellation fee will be waived. All players must check in at the Pro Shop desk prior to play. If you will be more than 15 minutes late, your court will be forfeited. DRESS CODE Tennis shorts, warm-up suits, tennis shoes, regular hemmed shorts and blouses/shirts are required Lycra, spandex are permissible, if they are traditional tennis attire such as shirts, shorts or skirts Tank tops are acceptable for female players Jeans are not allowed Proper tennis shoes are required. Black soles, cleated, knobbed or ribbed shoes of any type are not permitted on the courts. APEX PEAK PERFORMANCE TENNIS BEST COMPETITIVE TRAINING PROGRAM The APEX coaching staff is made up of some of the highest quality tennis professionals in Arkansas. APEX coaches work to ensure that our players train the right quantity and quality necessary to reach their goals. Because our players want to compete at the highest-level, they train more hours and learn to get the most out of each and every practice. TOURNAMENT COMPETITION Tournament travel is one of the hallmarks of the APEX training program. APEX coaches are at tournaments to watch and help guide Junior Development, Advanced Academy and Elite players. Tournament travel with the team is beneficial in many ways, including fostering player independence, team camaraderie and time spent with the coaching staff. We are committed to having our coaches at tournaments to mentor our players and parents through the competitive process. It is vital that our coaches see the players in tournament competition as well. Players are responsible for dividing the cost of travel and coaching fee for coaches traveling to tournaments. The entire APEX community student athletes, parents, and staff is living the sport of tennis. Our players are well prepared to take their game to the highest level, be it collegiate tennis or further. Our goal is to consistently develop studentathletes to become top ranked junior players and scholarship-ready collegians. APEX Junior Tennis is divided into 3 distinct levels: 1. Quickstart Junior Tennis Classes Designed by the USTA to help junior learn the sport of tennis by adapting the ball, racquet and court sizes all to fit younger physiques. We feature the following 4 levels: Red Ball 4 6 year old 36 court Children develop general motor & athletic skills Focusing on coordination, movement & balance skills. Games are an important part of the program & keep children having fun as they learn sending & receiving skills that develop their ability to rally. Orange Ball 7 11 year old 36-60 court Players will be working on rally and point play skills to help them transition to the 60 court. Children develop general motor & athletic skills Focusing on coordination, movement & balance skills. Some skills will be repeated from the previous levels & players will compete in team & individual challenges. Focused emphasis on swing shapes, spin, rallying & serving on balance Players will work on moving quickly & efficiently. Orange Advanced 7 10 year old 60 court Players should be confident & comfortable competing on a 60 court. Players will work on using specific patterns and quick reaction. Focused emphasis on swing shapes, spin, rallying & serving on balance Emphasis on refining the stroke shape, use of spin, changing the stroke to direct the ball & hit to different depths Players will become more tactically aware of the opponent. Players will prepare for tournament play. Green Ball 11 12 year old 78 court Players make the transition to the 78 court. Players will work on coordinating their movement to/from/around the ball, adapting stances & techniques based upon the intended shot. Varying & changing the flight, spin, speed & direction of the ball. Further development of the serve emphasizing spins & motion, as well Develop a tactical game plan based upon attacking & defending. 2. APEX Junior Advanced Academy The APEX Junior Advanced program (JA) is for children from 7-18 years old. These players are learning to compete and have a desire to improve. APEX will include athletic skills training as part of the JA program. Players will be on curriculum of basic technical instruction combined with entry level tactical instruction. Many players in the Junior Advanced program are playing tournaments. All JA players will want to sign up to be on one of APEX junior tennis teams for competition against other clubs and tennis centers. Please note that players must be evaluated prior to participation. 3. APEX Elite Academy - The APEX Elite Academy program is for players who are committed to competing in tennis. Elite Academy players are expected to commit to monthly tournaments in addition to local tournaments. This program will be limited in size to help these players accelerate their progress. The APEX Elite Academy program is geared towards players who are dedicated and serious about becoming high-level, competitive tennis players and who are highly motivated to win. Please note that this program is by invitation only.

QUICKSTART PROGRAMS QUICKSTART LESSON AND DRILL SCHEDULE The QuickStart tennis format used by the APEX Peak Performance Tennis gives kids the opportunity to rally a ball over the net and learn to play points as quickly as possible all in a fun environment. Our coaches recognize the importance of starting kids off well, and with success. This program uses the appropriate size racquet, court and ball to allow kids to do more faster!
