Article 2: Eco-friendly policy This rural race is organized in accordance with environmental protection rules. It is the onus of each person to behave responsibly. However, any conduct that would go against this code would cause the racer s disqualification: - Throwing any litter somewhere else than into bins dedicated to empty supplies. - Straying away from the waymarked trail. - Damaging vegetation on purpose. The organizer reserves the right to change the initial course following environmental constraints (nesting, protected species issues etc.) and also constraints that can be linked to security or if some paths cross private areas. Article 3: Competitive events and hiking 1) Discovery trail: about 14km long (8.5 miles) in a single lap. Start : Saturday, 3.30 pm in Lillebonne, Parc des Aulnes - finish at the same place. External assistance is forbidden and will cause disqualification. 2) Night discovery trail: about 16km long (10 miles) in a single lap. Start : Saturday, from 9.30 pm in Lillebonne, Parc des Aulnes finish at the same place. External assistance is forbidden and will cause disqualification. 3) Short trail: about 34km long (21 miles) in a single lap. Start : Sunday, 9.30 a.m., multi-purpose hall in Tancarville-le-Haut. Finish : Lillebonne, Parc des Aulnes. A time limit is set after 3h15 of race, on kilometre 23,5 (2nd food station, average of about 7km/h 4,3 miles/h). Any runner who will not have reached this checkpoint at that time will be excluded from the race. The longest timing to get on the finishing list is 5 hours (about 6.8km/h 4.2 miles/h). External assistance is forbidden and will cause disqualification.

4) Medium trail: about 60km long (37 miles) in a single lap. Start : Sunday, 8.30 am, multipurpose hall in Tancarville-le-Haut. Finish : Lillebonne, parc des Aulnes. Three time limits are set at 3h15 of race on kilometre 23 (14,2 miles, average of about 7km/h - 4.3 miles/h), at 5h05 of race on kilometre 35 (21.7 miles, average of about 4.2 miles/h) and at 7h20 of race on kilometre 49 (30.4 miles, average of about 4.1 miles/h). Any runner who will not have reached these checkpoints at those times will be excluded from the race. The longest timing to get on the finishing list is 9 hours. Coming by checkpoints could be set on the journey, and not being checked through one of them will cause disqualification. External assistance is forbidden and will cause disqualification. 5) Ultra trail: about 114km long (70.8 miles) in a single lap. Start : Saturday, 6 am in Lillebonne, parc des Aulnes. Finish line at the same place. 4 time limits are set at 6h of race on kilometre 40 (24 miles, average of about 6.6km/h - 4.1 miles/h), at 9h of race on kilometre 58 (36 miles, average of about 4 miles/h), at 13h of race on kilometre 80 (50 miles, average of about 3.8 miles/h) and at 19h of race on kilometre 100 (62 miles). Any runner who will not have reached these checkpoints at those times will be excluded from the race. The longest timing to get on the finishing list is 21 hours. Checkpoints could be set on the journey, and not being checked through one of them will cause disqualification. External assistance is forbidden and will cause disqualification, except in the bivouac area on kilometre 58 (36 miles). 6) P TIT DEFI (small challenge option): this includes the night discovery trail (16km/10 miles) and the discovery trail (34km/21 miles) the day after. Registration to the small challenge option must be done in the dedicated rubric on the form; runners will be automatically ranked in every race. 7) GRAND DEFI (big challenge option): this includes the Saturday afternoon trail race (14km/8.7 miles), the night discovery trail (16km/10 miles) and the 60km long trail race (37.3 miles) the day after. Registration to the big challenge option must be done in the dedicated rubric on the form; runners will be automatically ranked in every race. 8) SUPER DEFI (great challenge option): this includes the Saturday ultra trail race (114km/70.8 miles) and the 60km (37 miles) long trail race the day after. Registration to the great challenge option must be done in the dedicated rubric on the form; runners will be automatically ranked in every race. 9) CRAZY DEFI (crazy challenge option): this includes the Saturday ultra trail race (114km/70.8 miles), the night discovery trail race (16km/10 miles) and the 60km (37 miles) long trail race the day after. Registration to the Crazy challenge option must be done in the dedicated rubric on the form ; runners will be automatically ranked in every race. To be ranked in the Crazy Challenge, the ultra trail race has to be finished by 9.15 pm (latest deadline) and runners should not have crossed the ultra trail race finishing line wearing their night trail number, otherwise they would be disqualified from the Crazy Challenge. The Crazy Challenge does not give rise to a grading, but each finisher will get a special prize. 10) Nordic walking discovery, ranked or recreation hiking without any grading : about 14km (8.5 miles) in a single lap. Start : Saturday, 3.45 pm in Lillebonne, Parc des Aulnes. The organizers will not be responsible for walkers who will not have crossed the finishing line before 7.45 pm, from this time. The minimum of age for a paying participation is 14 yo concerning the recreation hiking. Under this age, children can take in this hike for free, under the responsibility of accompanying adults but are in no way under the responsibility of the organizers, nor likely to

get a prize. Nordic walkers with sticks commit themselves not to bother or endanger other entrants, otherwise they would be disqualified. 11) Mini trail race for children: an initiation into racing will take place under the shape of 2 nonranked races free of charge, from 2pm in the Parc des Aulnes (Lillebonne); open to children born between 2012 and 2015 and between 2008 and 2011. Following the number of entrants, starts will be managed in several waves. Registration only on the spot. Article 4: Participation This is a competitive event of the trail racing kind, open to licensed and non licensed runners, for all categories from juniors (14km/8.5 miles and 16km/10 miles) and hopes for longer distances, without any possible dispensation. Article 5: Journey The off-road trail mainly follows paths and forest trails, with a few legs occurring on roads open to traffic. Competitors commit themselves to respect the highway code when the journey crosses a road which is open to traffic, and also the instructions given by the signallers on dangerous junctions. The organizers decline any kind of responsibility and each competitor assumes their own responsibility if they do not respect these rules. Article 6: Way-finding Devices Ribbons and eye-level signposting show the way to follow; complementary floor signposting and road signs could be added at some places. Article 7: Help and Supplies To be able to drink at food stations providing fresh supplies, each competitor will have to carry their personal tumbler (at least 15cl/half a cup). Tins and flasks are allowed and will be presented to filling at food stations with their tops removed. The organizers have stopped supplying disposable plastic cups to match their environmental concerns. There will be no exception. Food stations organization:. Discovery trail race and hiking: 1 food station on kilometre 7 (about 4.3 miles).. 16 km (10 miles) long night discovery trail: 1 food station on kilometre 7.5 (about 4.6 miles).. 34 km (about 21 miles) long trail race: 2 food stations on kilometres 13 (about 8 miles) and 23 (about 14,3 miles).. 60 km (about 37 miles) long trail race: 4 food stations on kilometres 14 (about 8,7 miles), 23,5 (about 14.6 miles), 35 (about 21.7 miles) and 49 (about 30.4 miles).. 114 km (about 70.8 miles) long ultra trail race: 5 food stations on kilometres 19 (about 11.8 miles), 40 (about 24.8 miles), 58 (about 36 miles), 80 (about 49.7 miles) and 100 (about 62.1 miles). The halfway bivouac on km 58 (36 miles) is planned to change equipment (the one and only place accessible to external helpers for competitors to remain eligible). Liquid and solid fresh supplies, sweet or salty. Full fresh supplies at the finish.

Fresh supplies could be set up on the hike, according to the route and without any obligation from the organizers. Except on the ultra trail race bivouac, external assistance is forbidden and will cause disqualification from any race. An after race meal is organized at some cost and by reservation on Saturday evening, only for runners and those who accompany them (refer to the registration form). The organizer reserves the right to cancel this meal if there are not enough bookings. Article 8: Registrations You can register by mail or online (secured payment). Registration forms must be sent to Association Le Radicatrail, 42 rue du Puits Fortin, 76330 Petiville, with the payment (cheque made out in in euros only to «Le Radicatrail») and a copy of your club membership card/license or a medical attest allowing you to practice competitive racing - that was made less that one year before the event. The registration will be taken into account once all these documents are received. The registrations will stop on Thursday, April 26th, 2018. The organizers reserve the right to terminate before this date according to the number of registrations that will have already been received. In this case, the closing date will be given on the race website. On-site registrations will be possible at least half an hour before the starts for the five trail races and the hiking, with an extra-cost (refer to the registration form), except if the registrations have closed, as announced above. No registration by phone. EVERY COMMITMENT IS PERSONNAL, FIRM AND FINAL EXCEPT WITH CANCELLATION INSURANCE FOR RACES INVOLVED. Competitors cannot claim for their registration fees to be refunded for any reason, they will remain the property of the organizers even in the case of not collecting one s race number or in the case of the cancellation of the event. Article 9: Race number and required equipment collection Taking part in these running and hiking events necessarily require to wear one s race number fixed on the chest by at least 3 pins. Each competitor will wear a chip (except hiking) that they will have to fix on one of their shoes in order to get ranked. A lost or non returned chip will be charged (15 ). Night trail race entrants will have to wear a headlamp. If they do not, the organizers will not be responsible for any injury or accident and the runner will not be ranked. 34 km (21 miles) long trail race entrants will have to carry their own tumblers. 60 km (37 miles) long trail race entrants will have to carry : - Some water supply of at least 1 litre (3.5 cups) - An individual tumbler - 2 energy bars or equivalents - A mobile phone - The emergency bracelet given with the race number

Ultra trail entrants will have to carry : - Some water supply of at least 1 litre (3.5 cups) - An individual tumbler - 2 energy bars or equivalents - A portable phone with the same number as the one that had to be given to register - The emergency bracelet given with the race number - A headlamp - A whistle - A survival blanket A windcheater or a light jacket is recommended but not compulsory. The full course map is recommended but not compulsory (you can download it online). The equipment will not be checked at the race numbers collection. There will be unannounced checks at the start and on the way, with disqualification in the case of noncompliance. The lack of a required item can lead to disqualification and releases the organizers from any responsibility in the case of an injury or an accident. Race numbers collection and registration times: Friday, April 27th from 9 pm and Saturday, April 28th from 5 am concerning the 114 km-long racing in the parc des Aulnes, Lillebonne. Saturday, April 28th from 2 pm concerning all the other events, at the village in the parc des Aulnes, Lillebonne. Sunday, April 29th from 6.45 am at the starting point in Tancarville le Bas concerning the 34 km-long and 60 km-long races. Article 10: transport and changing-room 34 km and 60 km : transfers by coaches will be at the disposal of runners in Lillebonne (finishing place) to take them to the starting point in Tancarville; coaches will leave on the collège Pierre Mendès France car park, rue Thiers in Lillebonne (about 100 yards away from the finishing point) between 6.45 am and 8.20 am. No departure after that time. The organizers do not take in charge any journey back to Tancarville after the race. A transfer of the changing bags is set out. The truck will close at exactly 9.15 am in Tancarville. Collection of the bags in a guarded changing room in the Parc des Aulnes. The organizers accept no responsibility concerning the content of bags, neither can they be held liable for any theft and damage to the effects left in the premises or on the race area. 114 km ultra trail race: bags will be carried to the halfway assistance bivouac. These bags will have to be given on Friday between 5 pm and 9 pm only. The organizers will not accept any bag on Saturday morning. Other races: no changing room planned by the organizers.

Article 11: Medical certificates Members of the Fédération Française d Athlétisme or of an accepted sport organization following the 2018 off stadium races rules, will have to write down their membership numbers (season 2018) on their registration forms. The member card will have to be produced at the race number collection, or a copy be joined to the registration form. Non-licensed runners will have to send their registration forms with a doctor s certificate allowing the practice of race in competition, delivered less than one year before the date of the event. Since the organizers are directly held liable, any registration will be taken if proof is not made of an existing medical certificate (by producing it directly, or a licence card). Hiking with no ranking and mini trails are not concerned. Article 12: Accompanying people and help Non-certified accompanying people or vehicles (including bicycles) will not be authorized on the routes. A personal assistance is allowed on the ultra trail race, only on the areas and places determined by the organizers. Failure to comply with these areas would result in disqualification and the runner would not be ranked (see website). Article 13: Insurance policies Liability insurance: the organizers have taken out insurance covering the consequences of their own civil liability, and also their volunteers and all the Radicatrail entrants. Personal accident: licensed runners benefit from the guarantees provided by their membership insurance policy. It is the responsibility of the other entrants to get a personal insurance policy. Competitors will have to follow the highway code and the FFA rules concerning off stadium races. The organizers accept no responsibility in case of accident, immediate or long-term physical, physiological or technical failure, loss or theft of object or material. Competitors also commit themselves not to sue the organizers for any kind of accident that could result from their taking part in this event. Cancellation insurance: the organizers set out a cancellation insurance only for the following races: ultra trail race 114km, Grand Défi, Super Défi and Crazy Défi. This insurance policy is optional on registration and allows to get 80% of the registration fee (except insurance) repaid, without any written proof or medical certificate. Repayments are made no later than 15 days after the race. The runner will pay all postal delivery or bank charges. This cancellation insurance costs 8 in 2018. The cancellation deadline is on April, 22 nd, 2018 (midnight). Article 14: Safety The race safety issues are carried out by one or several doctor(s), an ambulance at the finish, several first-aid posts (run by registered rescuers) and voluntary security officials. This plan could be lighter in accordance with the legislation in force and the number of entrants in each race.

If possible, a team of physiotherapists will remain at the competitors disposal at the finish, without any obligation from the organizers. Withdrawal : Recovery points for withdrawing runners are situated at each fresh supplies station. A runner in capacity of walking must head to a recovery point, report their withdrawal and give their race number and chip back to get repatriated to the finishing line. Same process in case of withdrawal without being able to get to a recovery point. Runners have to conform to medical decisions and to decisions taken by safety services or by the racing head, in particular if they decide to stop them because their physical integrity is considered being affected or if they do not respect the rules. Article 15: Rewards Each ranked entrant to all the trail races and Nordic walking will get a technical and breathing jersey. Each entrant who will have taken part in the discovery hiking will get a reward (see our website to get an idea of what the 2018 rewards could be). Medal and technical jersey for every kids trail race finisher. Reward for each category: at the organizers behest (see our website to get an idea of what the 2018 rewards could be). Article 16: Results Results will be available on the event website the day after the event. Article 17: Use of pictures and legislation All the entrants expressly authorise the Radicatrail organizers and their eligible parties such as partners and media to use still and moving images in which they could appear, taken during their participation to Radicatrail, without any financial compensation, on every medium including promotional and advertising documents. In accordance with the French Data Protection and Freedom of Information Law (loi Informatique et Liberté) n 78-17 of January 6th 1978, the entrants have a right of access and correction of personal data concerning them. In case of force majeure, natural disasters or any other circumstance that may put in danger the competitors or the event volunteers safety, the organizers retain the right to cancel the race, without the competitors being eligible for any refund. The event organisation is in accordance with the Prefecture, town council and police guidelines concerning the series of measures to protect people against possible terrorist attacks (plan Vigipirate). Competitors have to conform to it as far as they are concerned, particularly regarding controls of people and bags in the racing area. Acceptance of these rules implies abandoning potential lawsuits from competitors against organizers or their eligible parties in the case of a terrorist attack.

Article 18: Knowledge of the rules Any registered competitor acknowledges they have read these rules and accepts these terms unconditionally. Article 19: Help to competitors You owe assistance to any person in danger, whatever might be the consequences on your final ranking. In the event of distress, warn the organizers situated on the course and who have sufficient means of intervention, or get them warned. Do not leave an injured person behind without any assistance. Article 20: Anti-doping tests Unexpected anti-doping tests may take place on the F.F.A. s initiative without the organizers initiative or their being able to oppose them. In accordance with the law, every entrant licensed or not must submit oneself to it, under penalty of sanctions in accordance with the law. Radicatrail 2018 last updated : jml of August 28 th,2017
