Visitor Information A Little more than 2 hours south of San Francisco and near Carmel by The Sea; Pebble Beach Resort is a private oasis where some of the most wealthy American families own villas along one of the most scenic drives in the world, the 17-Mile Drive. Near to Pebble Beach are Monterey Aquarium, the charming town of Carmel and the Big Sur cliffs, described as the greatest meeting of land and water in the world, you may wish to visit them on the free day in the program, unless the devils of golf drive you to try the courses of Poppy Hills and Carmel Valley Ranch among others! The climate is the same in all seasons and near to that of Brittany in France. Bright and sunny spells with a maximum temperature of 24, some gusts of wind and a few showers but this unique environment will not fail to delight you. Wish to extend your trip? The California Pro-Am lasts a week, but we would be delighted to organize a made to measure extension itinerary of your choice whether to the Islands of Hawaï, California Baja or the Palm Springs Desert, don t hesitate to consult us. The Hotel The Inn at Spanish Bay (*****) : The Pebble Beach Resort is a large estate situated along the famous 17-Mile Drive and made up of two hotels (The Lodge and The Inn at Spanish Bay) and of the three golf courses that you will play. For the third year running we have reserved The Inn at Spanish Bay. The reasons for this are its position facing the ocean and the Spanish Bay course as well as the large rooms and extensive choice of bars and restaurants. Meet each evening for cocktails round the outdoor fire-pits and enjoy in pure Scottish tradition the bagpiper, who closes the course for the night (6-7pm) and an ethereal atmosphere.
The golf courses Spyglass Hill : Practice Round and Round 2 of the California Pro-Am To get straight into the swing the first day a practice round awaits you at Spyglass. Currently rated as one of the toughest courses on the PGA Tour, Spyglass will enchant you with its exceptional design and beauty. From sandy sea dunes to majestic California pines where deer observe your every stroke. The length of the course, the deceptive greens and the immaculate white sand bunkers will challenge you to play your best game on Spyglass named as number 11 of the Top 100 US courses by Golf Digest. The Links at Spanish Bay : Round 1 Designed by Robert Trent Jones and remodeled by Tom Watson, this links course makes an ideal addition to the Pebble Beach Resort. With the exception of a few holes inland, your first day of the tour in the California Pro-Am will take you along the rugged Monterey coastline and surfers Beaches.
Pebble Beach Golf Links : Rounds 3 and 4 With its worldwide renown Pebble Beach is a monument in the same class as the Old Course at St Andrews and the dream of golfers everywhere. Listed in the world Top 10 of courses, Pebble Beach annually hosts the AT&T Pro-Am and upon numerous occasions the US Open. There is little doubt that there are few thrills like teeing up on Pebble Beach and it will be your turn on the 3rd and 4th Rounds of The California Pro-Am! More than a notch on your belt of courses you have played, by the time you reach the tree overhanging the green of the 18th you will have had one of the best days of your golfing life..

If you wish to play on other nearby courses such as Poppy Hills, Carmel Valley Ranch, please let us know at least 60 days prior so that we can reserve it for you. Regulations governing play Type of play : Pro-Am 72 holes Stableford Format : Teams composed of 1 golf professional and 3 amateur players Eligibility : Open to professional and amateur golfers from a licensed club Number of teams : limited to 12 Handicap : No limit; the maximum handicap for men is 24.4 and for ladies is 28.4. ¾ of handicap allowed. Tee Markers (You will be notified of equivalent colours before the rounds) : Pro Men : White Markers Pro Ladies : Blue Markers Amateur Men : Yellow Markers Amateur Ladies : Red Markers Local rule concerning gauging and distance measuring devices : distance measuring devices are allowed. Amateur prizes : California Pro-Am 2 rounds : Prizes will be awarded for 2 best nett and 1 best gross score on the aggregate of rounds 1 and 2 and on the aggregate of rounds 3 and 4 Overall California Pro-Am Prizes : At the end of the 4 rounds, 3 teams with the best nett score and 1 team with the best gross score will be awarded prizes; the gross takes precedence over the nett score The winner of the California Pro-Am will be the team with the best gross score on the aggregate of all rounds Professional Endowments : Tee off Allowance : 1 200 Bonus for Birdies (per round) : 1 st : 300 2 nd : 200 3 rd : 100 Competition committee : The committee will be composed of Promogolf managers and managers of the local courses
