COSTUME CARE INSTRUCTIONS: ORGANIZE, LABEL, REPEAT!! It is imperative that all of your dancer s costumes are kept extremely organized. Please be sure to LABEL all hangers with the class name and your child s name. Use a piece of masking tape to label the hangers. Also, LABEL the inside of all of your dancer s costumes, accessories and DANCE SHOES!!! COSTUMES MUST REMAIN ON HANGERS! Recital Packing List: COSTUME, HAIR, AND MAKE-UP PACKET Portable Clothes Rack to organize costumes for quick changes and multiple dances! Extra Tights- Bring an extra pair of tights in each color you need for the recital. Runs in tights are visible on stage. Bandages- For unexpected blisters. Make sure you have the clear variety, as colored ones will be visible through light-colored tights. Hangers-Bring a hanger for every costume you have and hang them up as soon as you have a chance to avoid wrinkles. Oh, and don't forget to bring the costumes. Safety Pins Baby Wipes/Make-up wipes-for quick clean-ups or make-up fixes. Snacks-Pack a few nutritious snacks for hungry dancers. Good choices include granola bars, grapes and small crackers and water. Pain Reliever-Bring a pain reliever for your child (and one for you, too.) Unexpected muscle aches and headaches can spoil a special recital. Clear Nail Polish-Clear nail polish can save a run in tights from getting out of hand. Apply a small amount to the run or snag as soon as it appears. (Better yet, bring that extra pair of tights.) Make-Up-You will want to retouch make-up immediately before going on stage. Hair Spray, Bobby Pins, Elastics, Comb and Brush Mirror or Portable Vanity Costumes and all accessories All Dance Shoes Pack a lunch- no peanuts or nuts permitted Extra activities for your kids to do during the break! ABSOLUTELY NO JEWELRY OR NAIL POLISH PERMITTED ON STAGE UNLESS PART OF COSTUME *Be sure to remove jewelry at home so you do not lose it* Highly recommended that students with quick changes wear a nude leotard under all costumes.
