VENUE INFORMATION General information: Kazan Aquatics Palace, Aquatics Palace, 70 S.Khakima str., Kazan, Russia Athletes preparation area (locker rooms, dry land) is located on the ground floor, as well as competition management offices, FINA offices and Doping control area. Press centre with conference hall and VIP zone are located on the 3rd floor, 2nd and 4th floors are dedicated to spectators. Parking: 942 cars. Venue is available for disabled people. Technical Specifications (Diving) Commissioning March, 2013 Competition to be held Diving Seating capacity (Diving) 3,600 Pool dimensions Systems Diving pool 33.33х25 m, depth 5.5 m OMEGA Diving system, info-result board (5x8m) video board (5x8m) Facilities There are two 1m springboards, two 3m springboards, one platform at 1m, 3m, 5m, 7.5m and 10m. A hot tub and showers underneath the Diving platforms will be provided for athletes to keep warm during training and competition. Dry land Diving dry land facilities will be available at the competition venue, providing the following equipment: One (1) tumbling (15 m), one (1) platform (3 m), four (4) springboards (1m), two (2) trampolines (3x5m), three (3) stretching mats (4 x 2.6 m), and jumping pit 6.2 х 5.3 m, spotting rigs.
ATHLETE MEDICAL SERVICES Medical service will be available during the stay of the teams in our city, it will be available at training and competition facilities. Mobile medical teams and an ambulance team will be working at the competition venue near competition zone. If the patient is in need of inpatient care, he is taken to the city clinic of Kazan on duty (5 minutes far from competition venue). During training and competitions lifeguard brigades will be constantly on duty. DIVERS AND TEAM OFFICIALS SEATING The seats for competitors and coaches will be provided at the main stand. Competing divers and their coaches will be allowed to seat at the poolside. EVENT INFORMATION DESK Event information desk will be posted at the Venue near secretary room and on the poolside under the platforms. ACCREDITATION, ACCREDITATION DESK Accreditation desk will be deployed at the Venue. RULES The FINA Diving World Series will be conducted under FINA Rules. JUDGES Scoring: Seven (7) judges are used for individual competitions and scores should be calculated according to FINA Diving Rules D 7.5. Nine (9) judges are used for synchronised competition and scores should be calculated according to FINA Diving Rules D 7.7. PRIZE MONEY Local Prize Money: The HMF/OC shall provide and pay prize money to a total of USD 120 000 at each Event to be divided between all of the 10 individual and synchro events, as follows: 1 st place: USD 5 000 2 nd place: USD 4 000 3 rd place: USD 3 000 Sub-Total USD 12 000 Total x 10 events = USD 120 000
Overall Prize Money: FINA shall pay the overall prize money of USD 870 000 to be divided between all of the 10 individual and synchro events, as follows: 1 st place: USD 30 000 2 nd place: USD 20 000 3 rd place USD 15 000 4 th place USD 10 000 5 th place USD 7 000 6 th place USD 5 000 Sub-Total USD 87 000 Total x 10 Events=USD 870 000 A diver participating in an Individual Event is entitled to the overall prize money only if he/she takes part in all the meets of the Series. If a diver for reason of illness or injury is forced to withdraw part way through an event, the athlete will be deemed participated and will still be eligible for the prize pot as long as they participate in the remaining legs. For synchronized events, overall prize money will be paid only if a national federation s team takes part in all the meets of the Series If a withdrawal is due to an injury, the athlete should provide a certificate signed by the event doctor as a record of attendance at the event and qualification for the overall prize money. VISA INFORMATION Visa assistance will be provided to those National Federations that have completed the registration process in the FINA GMS by the specified registration deadline. This includes the submission of all mandatory data such as photo and an electronic scan of each person s passport. TRANSPORTATION Transportation between Kazan International Airport/railway terminals and the official hotels, also between the official hotels and the venue will be provided by the Organising Committee. Please make sure that your flight details are included in your registration in the FINA GMS in order to ensure that your transportation to and from Kazan International Airport/railway terminals is arranged correctly. TICKETS Entrance to the swimming pool for all accredited persons is free. Public will have to obtain entry tickets at the ticketing desk of the Aquatics Palace. Admission for morning sessions will be 100-150 RUB. Tickets for evening sessions may be purchased for 150-300 RUB (depending on seating plan category) at the Venue.
ACCOMMODATION AND MEALS Delegates, Judges, Time Keeper The official hotel for the FINA Members, Judges and Omega Team will be Korston Hotel & Mall Kazan. Teams The official hotel for the Teams will be Relita-Kazan, located not far from the Venue (5 min. by bus). Address: 420034, 85G, Dekabristov str., Kazan, Russia, tel. +7 843 516 90 00. According to the FINA rules, each host country shall provide full board accommodation (3 meals per day of adequate quantity and quality) for all qualified divers and 1 team leader/coach for a minimum of 6 days/nights. Breakfast and dinner will be served at the hotel. Lunch will be served at the Venue. Please note that all extra days/nights are to be paid by the Teams.
The free accommodation period will be as follows: Arrival: May 01 (2 p.m.) Departure: May 07 (12 p.m.) Room Rate at the Official Hotel (full board and lodging for extra person or day): Single room: USD 240 per person per night Tween room: USD 210 per person per night NOTE!!! Payment (full board and lodging for extra persons or day) should be made by cash ONLY in US dollars or Euro on arrival in Kazan to the representative of Russia s Diving Federation.
