The object of the game is to hit the shuttlecock over the et so that evetually the oppoet is uable to retur the shot. Badmito origiated i Idia i the mid-1800 s. Its popularity icreased he Eglish army officers statioed i Idia trasported the game to Eglad. I Eglad it as called badmiti. Evetually it spread to the Uited States.
Safety 1. Make sure to alays have a firm grip o the racket. 2. Be careful ot to hit your parter ith the racket. 3. Stay o your o court. 4. Stop playig if others eter your court. 5. Equipmet Rackets are fragile. Avoid hittig the floor, alls, posts, ets, ad other people. Hadle the shuttlecocks carefully ad oly by their rubber tips. If birds get stuck i the et remove them carefully so that they do t tear. If your assiged racket is damaged report it to your teacher at the begiig of class. Scorig Poits are scored oly by both teams, servig or receivig (rally). A poit is rearded to the either team heever the other side commits a fault. If a fault is committed by the servig side, the server does ot score a poit ad loses the serve.
