General: Trainer Mr. M Schmetzer was fined $100 (AR64J) for failing to notify Racing Australia that the Gelding Lucky Show had been humanely euthanized. Riding Changes: Race 1: 2YO Plate 900m Lord Byron slow to begin, then had to be steadied passing the 600m. Nick The Skip slow to begin, then had to be steadied when racing in restricted room passing the 600m. Seentomany raced greenly. Race 2: Maiden Handicap 1500m Trainer Mr. A Duggan was fined $100 (LR35), for failing to declare a rider for Waynarchie in this race and Irish Duke (race 5), by the prescribed time. Trainer Mr. D Jackson was fined $100 (LR36A) for failing to scratch Liasion by the prescribed time. Chilly Cha Cha began awkwardly and shifted out abruptly. Just Bute was crowded at the start and over raced during the middle stages. American General began very awkwardly and was slow away, then blundered badly when crowded shortly after the start.
On Sunshine crowded at the start. Race 3: 3YO Maiden Plate 1000m Kiltaza raced greenly in the early stages, then became very unbalanced when struck by kickback passing the 600m and failed to respond to its rider s urgings from that point. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no Silver Super slow to begin. The rider R Murray was reminded of her obligation to ride her mounts in at least hands and heels fashion to the end of every race wherever possible. Titus slow to begin. Crystal Pearl began awkwardly, shifted in abruptly and bumped with Avocado. Over Time refused to parade to the start and was withdrawn at 3pm, after it and the rider S Lisnyy were kicked by a passing runner. Art D Amour began awkwardly. Gadfly was crowded at the start. Lonely Orphan was bumped heavily after the start and shifted in abruptly. Mr Smart hung in when placed under in the home straight. Oakwood Lady when questioned in relation to the performance, R Hutchings explained that his mount did not travel comfortably at any stage and was disappointing. Trainer Mr. S Singleton reported (6/11/17), that the mare had a swollen eye upon recovery and would monitor its progress before determining its racing program. Dead Reckoning had to be steadied when racing in restricted room passing the 500m.
