Logo M o u n t S a i n t J o S e p h Wordmark and Tower Lockup The wordmark and Tower should not be separated. It is to remain a locked up unit. This logo is the main school logo and is reserved for academic and administrative purposes. It may also be used in communications for Mount Saint Joseph Admissions, Development, Marketing and Social Media. Clear space M o u n t S a i n t J o S e p h Clear Space The logo should always be surrounded by clear space. This protected area keeps other images or type from getting too close and ensures that the logo is always readable. The recommended minimum distance to be allowed on all sides is the height of the capital letter H in the Joseph in the logotype (see example to the right). It is reserved for official materials including diplomas, transcripts and formal correspondence originating from Administration and the Board of Trustees. Color: The Seal logo should only be used in the purple (PMS 519, CMYK 76/94/38/0 or RGB 89/45/96) or in black and white. Scale: The Seal should never be reproduced in print smaller than 1 in width. MSJ Gaels M o u n t S a i n t J o S e p h Gaels Logo The Mount Saint Joseph Gaels logo should be reserved for athletic communications, athletic apparel and school retail merchandise. In some cases, use of this mascot may be appropriate for spirit applications. Sport specific logs may be downloaded from the School s Dropbox folder. For guidance in determining proper usage, consult the school s marketing office. Color: The Gael logo should only be used in the purple (PMS 519, CMYK 76/94/38/0 or RGB 89/45/96) or in black and white. As well, the Gael head may be used independently; however if you are using the sport specific logo, please download the approved version from the School s Dropbox folder. Color M o u n t S a i n t J o S e p h Color Palette Color selection is a key element in building a strong brand. Pantone 519 (Purple) and Pantone 4515 (Tan) are Mount Saint Joseph s core identity colors. Ideally Pantone spot colors should be used for all reproduction. CMYK, and RGB values can be found below. The core color palette works well with black, white, and full color photography. Use of other colors should be approved by the school s marketing office. Primary Typography M o u n t S a i n t J o S e p h Typography Typography is an important element of the Mount Saint Joseph logo and helps convey the personality of our brand. When used correctly and consistently, typography unifies the appearance of communications. Adobe Jenson is the primary display and brand serifed typeface for Mount Saint Joseph. If Adobe Jenson is not available, longer lengths of text can be typeset in Adobe Garamond. Akzidenz-Grotesk is the primary display and brand sans serif typeface for Mount Saint Joseph. Akzidenz- Grotesk is a flexible typeface with multiple weights available. The light and bold versions can be combined successfully as used in the admissions communication materials. If Akzidenz-Grotesk is not available, Helvetica may be substituted. IMPORTANT REMINDER: The words Mount Saint Joseph should never be typeset as a logo. In these instances the Wordmark and Tower art file should always be used.
