(SEL.OP2) SETPOINT CONFIGURATION The 7600E Digital Weight Indicator is available with four (4) control inputs and four (4) control outputs when equipped with the optional Digital Input/Output (DIO) module. Setpoint outputs can be configured in the following modes: Four independent setpoints with pre-act. (V3.98.0 and later) Two Setpoints and zero band. Two Setpoints, with pre-act, and zero band. Two Setpoints, with dribble control. Two Setpoints, with pre-act and dribble control. One setpoint with pre-act, dribble control, tolerance and Zero Band output. "HI - LO" Alarm Control. "OVER/UNDER" Check Weigh Control. Setpoints can be used in a straight setpoint system or as part of either a "Manual Batching" or "Automatic Batching" system. When configured for batching, the setpoints are de-energized except when the batch is in process. When setpoint cutoff is reached, the setpoints are latched OFF and will not reactivate until the next batching sequence. A "Zero Band" (ZBD), around GROSS ZERO is available for monitoring an "empty scale" - in certain setpoint configurations. Rev 0 1

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION Four setpoint (DUAL) setpoint mode DUAL mode is the (four independent) setpoint operation mode, where cutoff occurs when the weight is greater than or equal to ( ) the setpoint value. B. The display alternates between the setpoint entry parameter (SP1-a) and current setpoint value. C. Enter the desired setpoint value using the 0-9 keypad, push the ENT key to Save. D. Push the SET key. The display will step to the next selection (SP1-b,.SP2-a,SP2-b.) E. Push SET to exit. F. The setpoint values may be recalled at any time by pushing the SET key repeatedly. If Pre-acts are required for any of the DUAL setpoint outputs: A. Push the SET key and HOLD for 5 seconds. B. The display alternates between the setpoint entry parameter (SP1-a) and current setpoint value. C. Enter the desired setpoint value using the 0-9 keypad, push the ENT key to Save. D. Push the SET key. The display will step to the next selection (SP1P-a, SP1-b,.SP1P-b, SP2-a, SP2P-a, SP2-b, SP2P-b.). SPx-y = target value, SPxP-y = pre-act value. E. Push SET to exit. 7
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION Straight setpoint mode SP mode is the setpoint (SP) operation mode, where cutoff occurs when the weight is greater than or equal ( ) to the setpoint (SP). Zero Band output is available. B. The display alternates between the setpoint entry parameter (SP1-trg) and current setpoint value. C. Enter the desired setpoint value using the 0-9 keypad. Push the "ENT" key to Save. D. Push the SET key. The display will step to the next selection (SP2-trg.) E. Push SET to exit. F. The setpoint values may be recalled at any time by pushing the SET key repeatedly. G. Note: Zero Band (ZBO) is set in SEL.OP2 configuration parameter 2.10. 8
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION Pre-act mode PR adds a "pre-act" value which allows for "in-flight" material compensation. The cutoff occurs when the weight is greater than or equal to ( ) the setpoint (SP) value minus the pre-act (Pr) value. Note: This allows changes in setpoint values while maintaining the pre-act setting. Zero band output is available. B. The display alternates between the setpoint entry parameter (SP1-trg) and current setpoint value. C. Enter the desired setpoint value using the 0-9 keypad. Push the "ENT" key to Save. D. Push the SET key. The display will step to the next selection (SP1-PrE.) Enter the pre-act weight value for SP1 target value. Push the "ENT" key to Save. E. Push the SET key. Enter SP2-trg and SP2-PrE as above. F. Push SET to exit. G. The setpoint values may be recalled at any time by pushing the SET key repeatedly. H. Note: Zero Band (ZBO) is set in SEL.OP2 configuration parameter 2.10. 9
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION Dribble mode Dribble mode adds a "dribble" (dr) which provides a "two-speed" (fast feed, slow feed) cutoff to enhance accuracy. The basic setpoint is used for slow feed, while the additional cutoff (fast feed) occurs when the weight is greater than or equal to ( ) the setpoint minus the dribble value. Note: This allows changes to the setpoint target value while maintaining the same amount of fast to slow feed differential. Zero band output is not available if SP2 is used in (dr) mode.) B. The display alternates between the setpoint entry parameter (SP1-trg) and current setpoint value. C. Enter the desired setpoint value using the 0-9 keypad. Push the "ENT" key to Save. D. Push the SET key. The display will step to the next selection (SP1-drb.) Enter the Dribble Weight differential value for SP1 target value. Push the "ENT" key to Save. E. Push the SET key. Enter SP2-trg and SP2-drb as above. F. Push SET to exit. G. The setpoint values may be recalled at any time by pushing the SET key repeatedly. H. Note: Zero Band (ZBO) is set in SEL.OP2 configuration parameter 2.10. Not available if SP2 is set for (dr) dribble mode. 10
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION Dribble mode with Pre-act Provides both a dribble (dr) and preact (Pr) to setpoint configuration. The slow feed cutoff occurs when the weight is greater than or equal to ( ) the setpoint minus the pre-act value. The fast feed cutoff occurs when the weight is greater than or equal to ( ) the setpoint minus the pre-act and minus the dribble value. Note: This allows changes in setpoint settings while maintaining the pre-act and dribble settings. Zero band output is not available if SP2 is used in (dr) mode. The display will step to the next selection (SP1-drb.) Enter the Dribble Weight differential value for SP1 target value. Push the "ENT" key to Save. F. Push the SET key. Enter SP2-trg, SP2-PrE, and SP2-drb as above. G. Push SET to exit. H. The setpoint values may be recalled at any time by pushing the SET key repeatedly. I. Note: Zero Band (ZBO) is set in SEL.OP2 configuration parameter 2.10. Not available if SP2 is set for (Dr) dribble mode. 11
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION Over/Under Hi/Lo mode Provides High, Low, and Accept outputs with the Low level ON when the weight is less than (<) Lo setpoint (SP LO), the High level ON when the weight is greater (>) than Hi setpoint (SP HI), and Accept is ON in between. This is for applications where High and Low settings require direct changes. Zero band output is available. B. The display alternates between the setpoint entry parameter (SP-LO) and current setpoint value. C. Enter the desired LO setpoint value using the 0-9 keypad. Push the "ENT" key to Save. D. Push the SET key. The display will step to the next selection (SP-HI.) E. Enter the desired HI setpoint value using the 0-9 keypad. Push the "ENT" key to Save. F. Push SET to exit. G. The setpoint values may be recalled at any time by pushing the SET key repeatedly. H. Note: Zero Band (ZBO) is set in SEL.OP2 configuration parameter 2.10. 12
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION Over/Under Target mode Provides High, Low, and Accept outputs the same as direct entry above, except that a direct entry is made only for a target weight and High/Low settings become dependent upon that weight. The Low level is ON when the weight is less than (<) the Target minus the (Lo) value. The High level is ON when the weight is greater than (>) the Target plus the (HI) value. Accept is ON in between. Zero band output is available. B. The display alternates between the setpoint entry parameter (SP-trG) and current setpoint value. C. Enter the desired Target setpoint value using the 0-9 keypad.
