Gridiron Heroes was formed in 2003 with a specific mission - to provide immediate and long term resources and support to individuals sustaining catastrophic spinal cord injury through activities associated with high school football across the nation. The story of the Gridiron Heroes has been featured on Access Hollywood, HBO's Real Sports, the CBS Evening News, CNN Heroes, and TIME magazine, among other outlets. Their "pay it forward" attitude impacts lives within its reach to the community. Through your financial support, Gridiron Heroes is able to help countless families who find themselves in need of the resources, assistance and inspiration that the organization provides. Towels will be on sale from October 13 through November 3 in A213 or C233 and all three lunches. The cost is $5. 100% of the sales at Mac go to this great organization.

Help us not only beat Madison on the football field but in our collection of money for the Gridiron Heroes. TSA LEADERSHIP DAY The MacArthur Chapter TSA hosted the TSA Regional Leadership Day on Saturday, October 22 nd. The theme for the day was Road to Success. Students from MacArthur, Roosevelt and Stevens were in attendance for the event. The day was highlighted by a guest speaker, Sybil Pici. Ms. Pici and her husband are the owners of four McDonald s in San Antonio. She gave the students insight as to what it looks like to be a leader, leadership qualities they look for in employees and how to develop their own leadership skills. She also spoke about her own rise to leadership within McDonald s. Students worked on two different problem solving activities which focused on their teamwork and creative abilities. They also were given the opportunity to take the Lone Star Test. Those passing the test will receive a pin from the state association for their accomplishment.
