Out on the Twig Minier romps in Longview! Volume 19, Issue 24 Rick Minier led from start to finish at Oil Bowl Lanes in Longview, TX and romped to his 12th SASBA title. Willie Wells bowled great to get 2nd. Steve Wright got the last spot in the finals and rose to 3rd place. Roger West got 4th and Fred Barnes and Mark Williams tied for 5th. Thanks to Tra Autry and staff for being great hosts. The shot was fair, easy to get to the pocket, but only a few could figure out the carry. 300s were bowled by Roger West, Mark Williams and Willie Wells. 1 st Annual Ebonite/SASBA Age Bracket Tournament Where: Cityview-Fort Worth, TX When: December 4-5-6, 2009 Schedule of events: Friday: Sweepers starting at noon 2 games (4 age groups) cash 1 in 4 within each age group. Saturday: Meeting at 8am. One 8-game qualifying block by age group starting at 8:45 Sunday: Match play bracket finals by age group (2 games/total pins) starting at 8:15 When 1 survivor remains in each age group, those 4 bowlers will bowl 1 game for title ($1000 prize guaranteed for 4 th place) Entry fee: $230 1 in 3 (up to 16) will make the finals in each age group. 1 in 3 will cash in each division. All rounds will be a blind draw for byes and opponents. If there is a tie for the last finals spot within an age group, a 1 game rolloff will immediately follow the qualifying. Age groups (as of Dec.5) will be as follows: Legends bracket 50-56 yrs. Old Timers bracket 57-62 yrs. Codgers bracket 63-69 yrs.
