Small Sided Games Development Rules Build Out Line For 7 v 7 Play Application to U9 & U10 Age Groups The Build Out Line is used to promote playing the ball out of the back in an unpressured setting When the Goalkeeper has the ball, either during play or from a goal kick, the opposing team should move behind the Build Out Line Once the opposing team is behind the Build Out Line, the Goalkeeper can pass, or throw, or roll the ball to a teammate No Punting! Challenges Under 19 - Under 20 Age Groups Cause and Effect on the U19 U20 Age Groups In the 2016-2017 season, players in the U19 age group will fall under the calendar year standard Potential players could lose six (6) months of eligibility and will have to wait for 3 ½ months for the colleges to finish their season Cal South is considering a change to our National and State Cup competitions to add an Under 20 age group to help the players who will max out at the U19 limitation 22

Safety Newly established Cal South Concussion Education Protocol Cause and Effect on: How to Manage Concussions at the team level A player who is suspected of sustaining a concussion or head injury in a practice or game shall be removed from competition at that time and for the reminder of the day. A player who has been removed may not return to play until the player is evaluated by a licensed health care provider trained in the evolution and management of concussion and received written clearance to return to play from that health provider.
