A Note from the SHERIFF Dear Sheriff s Charity Riders, Revving up for it s first year event on Saturday, September 9, 2006 is the First Annual Johnson County Sheriff s Charity Ride with proceeds to benefit Riley Hospital for Children, Johnson County Club of 100 Fund and the Jed Moses Fulmer Scholarship Fund, both component funds of the Johnson County Community Foundation. It is my hope that a great deal can be accomplished through this annual charity ride and the Johnson County Sheriff s Office is calling on the help and ever generous spirit of bikers throughout Central Indiana who work so hard and support charities every year raising thousands of dollars for charities through their motorcycling endeavors! General Information First Annual Johnson County Sheriff s Charity Ride & Poker Run Saturday, September 9, 2006 (rain or shine) Registration is from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM Wal-Mart parking lot on U.S. 31 in Franklin (Wal-Mart Supercenter, 2125 North Morton Street, Franklin, IN 46131) Ride leaves promptly at 10:30 AM Cost: $35.00 per bike (Single rider), $45.00 with Passenger All brand ride, all makes & models, everyone welcome! One (1) Sponsor Gift bag containing lots of cool motorcycling related items compliments of our ride sponsors plus one Ride T-Shirt for each bike! First 400 bikes receive a First Annual Johnson County Sheriff s Charity Ride t-shirt. Schedule 8:00 AM 10:00 AM Registration At the Wal-Mart parking lot on U.S. 31 in Franklin (Wal-Mart Supercenter, 2125 North Morton St., Franklin, IN 46131) 10:30 AM Police Escorted Ride leaves Wal-Mart parking lot for Poker Run Poker Run stops at the following locations: Stop # 1 Lockhart Cadillac / Hummer, Greenwood Stop # 2 Indianapolis Southside Harley-Davidson/Buell Stop # 3 Bikes N Trikes, Boggstown Stop # 4 Dreyer Honda South, Whiteland Stop # 5 Mann s Harley-Davidson/Buell, Taylorsville 3:00 PM Poker Run Ride ends at Scott Hall at the Johnson County Fairgrounds where poker hands will be drawn, a silent auction will be held, prizes will be awarded and a meal and live entertainment by the band Hush will be provided. Poker Run will have one winner, based on the best 5-card hand on Saturday. Prize for best poker hand is $300.00 cash. In the event of tie poker hands, a tie-breaking hand will be drawn by the parties. All riders and their passengers must complete a First Annual Johnson County Sheriff s Charity Ride liability waiver registration form at registration at the starting site the day of the event. All riders and their passengers must have their Poker Run Card properly stamped at each stop location to be eligible to draw their poker hand at the ending location.
