CONFINED SPACE ENTRY & RESCUE Introduction This training program is a 2-days training, which comes with an adequate training in confined space rescue operations, with intensive practical training using our 20- footer confined space simulator container. Training also covers training on rendering 1st aid and CPR onto confined space victims, roles and responsibilities of attendant, entrant and supervisors, confined space entry and rescue equipment hands-on, and also on documentation (ie. PTW, Gas Report, Checklist, etc.). Course Plan wraps-up with training on correct use of breathing apparatuses (SCBA Rescue / Workline Unit, SKAPAK Workline Unit, ELSA Escape Set), and conducting gascheck using portable gas detectors. Each participant shall be qualified to receive a Certificate and Training ID card, no expiry. Topics covered: Introduction to confined space Confined space hazards Origin of hydrocarbon Different types of toxic atmosphere Other types of hazards Pre-planning of confined space job Categorising the workplace Identify the persons involved Different types of detection system Isolation Respiratory protection system Entry permit Recovery methods Rescue Procedures Equipment Demonstration Simulation of confined space entry & rescue operations 1
OPITO- CERTIFIED BASIC H2S TRAINING Introduction This training program is a 4-hours training, which comes with a competency test at end of session. Each participant shall be qualified to receive a Certificate and Training ID card, valid for 2 years. Certificate is recognized within worldwide offshore industry. During the training, candidates will gain a basic understanding and competency for working in an environment with the potential for H2S exposure. Candidates will explain/identify H2S (how it is formed & where it is found) Other names used to describe H2S Properties & characteristics of H2S Parts per million (ppm) as a measurement parameter Occupational exposure limits of H2S Factors affecting individual susceptibility to H2S Types of respiratory equipment Pre-use checks of personal detection devices and EBA Candidates will explain/identify Operating personal H2S detection equipment (including checks) Responding to an alarm Donning & operating (including checks) an escape breathing apparatus (EBA) with a mask within 30seconds Donning & operating (including checks) an escape breathing apparatus (EBA) with a hood within 30seconds Connecting and diconnecting to a cascade breathing system 2
OPITO-CERTIFIED AUTHORISED GAS TESTER TRAINING Introduction The AGT role is critical in testing for and ensuring safe working atmospheres, in particular: permit controlled confined spaces, and prior to and during hot work for both open and enclosed spaces. It will enable one to read and interpret correctly information as obtained from the gas detection means available. Certifications come with competency tests at end of sessions. Upon deemed competent, each participant shall be qualified to receive a Certificate and Training ID card, valid for 3 years. Certificate is recognized within worldwide industries. AGT LEVEL 1 (Contact time: 12 hours) AGT Level 1 is required for those involved with performing a test for oxygen, flammable and toxic gases up to, and including working in confined spaces. (NOTE: Persons undertaking Standby/Safety Watch duties at the entrance to a confined space shall be an AGT Level 1 Gas Tester.) Job scopes requiring Authorised Gas Tester certifications: confined space entry (for inspection, repair, cleanup, maintenance, painting, etc.) rescue operations hotwork (ie. welding, gas-cutting, grinding, gouging, drilling, chipping, etc.) fire-watchmen for ongoing hotwork fire-watchmen for hotwork penetration on adjacent tanks excavation odorant house underground openings 3
OPITO-CERTIFIED AUTHORISED GAS TESTER TRAINING AGT level 2 (Contact time: 7 hours) AGT Level 2 is required for those involved with testing for flammable gas in preparation for hot work (in open spaces). (if conducted within confined spaces: need also AGT Level 1 certification) Job scopes requiring Authorised Gas Tester certifications: leak detection hot-tapping hotwork within open deck/platform, designated workshop commissioning/de-commissioning oils spills pipe flushing dismantling pipes/valves bunkering oil transferring chemical cleaning AGT level 3(Contact time: 5 hours) AGT Level 3 is required for those who provide safety watch duties by the ongoing monitoring of a hot work site (in open spaces). (if conducted within confined spaces: need also AGT Level 1 certification) AGT Combined Level (Contact time: 15 hours) AGT Combined Level all conducted in 2-days. It will be a combined course delivery, and candidates will be provided with total (3) separate certificates, ie. AGT Level 1, Level 2 & Level 3. NOTE: AGT Levels 1, 2 & 3 holds three separate work responsibilities. 4
IADC HSE RIG PASS 3 Introduction IADC HSE Rig Pass is a 1-day training designed to provide new employees with a basic orientation of rig operations and safe work practices to improve the safety performance of the Service Contractor and the E & P Operator and to assist both in satisfying federal, state and industry regulations and recommended practices. Participant will be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge of applicable regulations, and government agencies, general safety policies applicable to the work site, incident and environmental protection reporting procedures, the service contractor / customer working relationship, and employee s responsibilities. This course also gives an overview of the risks and the management of those risks in the petroleum drilling and production industry. This course is divided into 12 elements. The first 10 are the introductory elements for all personnel. The last two are for an offshore endorsement. Element 1 General Safety Element 2 Personal Protective Equipment Element 3 Hazard Communication and Hazardous Materials Handling Element 4 Occupational Health Element 5 Specialized Work Procedures Element 6 Fire Safety Element 7 Materials Handling Element 8 First Aid Element 9 Rig/Platform Environment Element 10 Emergency Response Element 11 Transportation Offshore Element 12 Water Safety 5
