OKC won the first meeting between the teams Oct. 28 at the Cox Center 4-2 with the help of 2 power play goals by Justin Schultz. It s Abney s third OKC stint this season (3 games, 7 PIM). Rajala is slated to make his AHL debut this week. He was promoted while riding an ECHL-high 11-game point streak and departs the league fourth in points with 23, (11 goals and 12 assists). Yesterday, Rajala was named the ECHL Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 18. Rajala had 5 goals and 6 assists in 4 games last week. BARONS TOP POINT RACE: Barons rookie defenseman Justin Schultz leads the AHL in points with 21, on 8 goals and 13 assists. The CCM/AHL Player of the Month for October, Schultz is tied for second in assists (13) with teammate Jordan Eberle and Hershey s Garrett Stafford, 1 helper behind Chad Billins of Grand Rapids. Eberle is second in the AHL with 19 points, on 6 goals and 13 assists. Eberle recorded a franchise record-equaling 4 assists in a 6-5 overtime loss Nov. 13 and followed with 3 assists in Saturday s 5-2 win over Milwaukee. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is part of a multiple-way tie for third in the league in points with 17 (7G, 10A). POWER PLAYERS: OKC has the AHL s top 3 power play point producers. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins leads the league in power play points with 11, on 3 goals and 8 assists. Jordan Eberle (2G, 8A) and Justin Schultz (3G, 7A) are tied for second in power play points with 10. DANIS SHINES: Goaltender Yann Danis started and won each of the Barons last 2 games, both against Milwaukee, stopping a season-high 43 shots in Friday s 2-1 OT win. Danis followed with a 35-save outing in Saturday s 5-2 decision. For the 2 games against the Admirals, Danis had a 1.46 goals-against average (3 goals allowed in 123:04) and a.963 save percentage (78 saves on 81 shots).
