TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION (i) Regional Finalists (England) Reservations have been made on behalf of all competitors that qualified through the Regional Finals hosted in England with Broads Travel Group. All competitors will fly out together on Tuesday 19 th September from Birmingham Airport and return together on Saturday 23 rd September. It is recommended that you arrive at Birmingham Airport at least two hours prior to your departure time to allow enough time for check-in, security and boarding processes. Flights are operated by Monarch Airlines and the times to and from Portugal can be seen below. Tuesday 19 th September Flight ZB 408 departing Birmingham Airport at 16:55 arriving into Faro Airport at 19:30 local time. Saturday 23 rd September Flight ZB 407 departing Faro Airport at 17:50 arriving into Birmingham Airport at 20:40 local time. (ii) Regional Finalists (Scotland) Travel has been arranged from Aberdeen Airport for both teams to arrive at Faro Airport on Tuesday 19 th September. Flights are operated by Ryanair and the times to and from Portugal can be seen below. Saturday 23 rd September Flight FR 9221 departing Faro Airport at 08:00 arriving into Aberdeen Airport at 11:30 local time. (iii) Regional Finalists (Ireland) Travel has been arranged from Belfast Airport for you to arrive at Faro Airport on Tuesday 19 th September. Flights are operated by easyjet and the times to and from Portugal can be seen below. Tuesday 19 th September Flight EZY 6793 departing Belfast Airport at 10:35 arriving into Faro Airport at 13:35 local time. Saturday 23 rd September Flight EZY 6794 departing Faro Airport at 14:05 arriving into Belfast Airport at 17:10 local time. (iv) Point of Contact PGA Official, Jill Underhill will be present in Birmingham Airport on Tuesday 19 th September to assist with everyone s check in process, if anyone has any queries then Jill can be contacted on number TBC. Jill will be travelling with all the competitors and will be on hand to answer any questions about the week. (v) Luggage Monarch Airlines, Ryanair and easyjet as standard allow x1 hold luggage of 20kg and x1 hand luggage of 10kg. Additional allowance has been arranged for one set of golf clubs per competitor. Please ensure you do not exceed these limits as extra charges might be incurred at your own expense. Page 2 of 9
(vi) Airport Parking The PGA will organise car parking at Birmingham, Aberdeen and Belfast Airports for one car per team from Tuesday 19 th to Saturday 23 rd September. Please provide details of this vehicle to Chris Joyce to assist with your booking (Booking form provided at the back of this document). (vii) Passports Please ensure that your passport is valid and not due to expire before or during the days of travel. Passport details must be provided by using the form provided at the back of this document. (viii) Travel Insurance All competitors are advised to take out their own travel insurance for the trip. Although PGA Members are covered for Public Liability as part of their Membership, this however does not include travel insurance. Individuals requiring their own travel insurance should ensure cover is provided for medical expenses incurred whilst participating in competitive sport. (ix) Accommodation and F&B in Portugal Accommodation has been arranged for all competitors at Pestana Vila Sol Golf & Resort Hotel, a 5 star hotel near Vilamoura on a bed & breakfast single occupancy basis. However all accommodation, transfers, function related food and beverages are provided at no cost to the competitor. Breakfast A breakfast buffet is available in the Green Pines Restaurant in the Hotel each morning to all competitors and guests. Lunch All competitors will be catered for on days where there are no official functions. Lunch will be provided to all competitors mid-way through the Official Practice Day on Wednesday 21 st September and lunch vouchers will be provided to all competitors for a buffet lunch in the Clubhouse following Rounds 1 & 2. Food and beverage vouchers to the value of 35 will be given to every competitor upon arrival primarily for use during the evening at leisure on Thursday 21 st September, but these can also be used for additional food and beverages during the tournament week. Any additional purchases during the week can be posted to the competitor s room providing credit card details are confirmed upon check-in with the hotel. Additional costs can be settled in cash or via credit card before departure. (x) Check-In All competitors and guests are to check-in to the hotel upon arrival, you will receive information about the hotel and receive your room keys. It is the hotel policy to take payment of your guests at this time. please have your passport details to hand (xi) Currency The local currency in Portugal is Euros ( ). Page 3 of 9

GUEST PACKAGE Each competitor will have the opportunity to bring one guest to share within their room based on the prices agreed by our hosts as outlined below. Please note that should any finalist wish to extend their stay outside of the designed tournament arrival and departure days then the below costs would apply. Similarly all flights would be at the finalists own expense. (iii) Guest Transfers All competitors will be transferred to and from Faro Airport to the Pestana Vila Sol Golf & Resort Hotel. Up to four guests travelling with a team in the main party (Tuesday 19 th & Saturday 23 rd September) will be charged a rate of 34, whilst between 5 to 8 per team is 49. Faro Airport to Pestana Vila Sol is a distance of 21.2km. Transfer costs will be charged to room accounts and to be settled upon arrival. (iv) Guest Food and Beverages Breakfast is included in the room rate and guests will be able to purchase food and beverages across the resort and pay on an individual basis or post to the guest s room providing credit card details are confirmed upon check-in with the hotel. These costs can be settled in cash or via credit card before departure. (v) Golf Course Rates Guests can take up the opportunity to play the Championship Course with reduced rates agreed for hire of golf clubs, buggy and green fees. 5. GENERAL Competitors must not wear or carry any branding that would conflict with the wishes of our sponsors. Any competitor or associated supporter that, in the opinion of the PGA, brings the event into disrepute by any action will not be permitted to take any further part in the Tournament or associated activities and will have their accommodation withdrawn. Please contact Chris Joyce if you have any such concerns. It is mandatory that all competitors attend all functions associated with the Tournament as specified in the daily itinerary. 6. DRAW FOR ORDER OF PLAY AND STARTING The Official Practice Round draw will be published before your arrival to Pestana Vila Sol Golf & Resort Hotel. (i) The draw for Round 1 will be published during the Welcome Dinner on Wednesday 20 th September. (ii) The draw for Round 2 will be made following Round 1 in score order, with the leaders going out last. In all cases competitors are required to arrive at the first tee at least 10 minutes prior to their start time. The Official starter will provide pin position sheets, Local Rules and any additional information at that time. A copy of each days play will be available from The PGA Tournament Office. 7. DRESS CODES (i) Travel During travel to and from Faro, the dress code is smart/casual (No jeans or trainers). (ii) Practice and Competition Days Competitors are requested to wear their own club crested/logo clothing on the Practice and Tournament Days. It is expected as a minimum that teams to wear clothing of the same colour. Both Professionals and amateurs are allowed to wear shorts throughout the duration of the tournament. (iii) Welcome Dinner Smart/casual, no jeans or trainers, jacket is optional. (iv) Gala Dinner Jacket, collar and tie for gentlemen and the equivalent attire for ladies. Average temperatures in the area of Vilamoura can reach highs of 27 C (81 F) and lows of 17 C (63 F). In any case it is advised that waterproof clothing is packed in the event of adverse weather. 8. PRACTICE FACILITIES Practice times have been made available between 10:30 and 12:00 at 10 minute intervals on Wednesday 20 th September. The draw of which will be published prior to arrival at Pestana Vila Sol Golf & Resort Hotel on Tuesday 19 th September. The driving range, and short game areas are all available for competitors to hit balls on a complimentary basis from 07:00am to sunset every day. Page 6 of 9
9. CLUBHOUSE The clubhouse and Professional Shop will be open at least one hour before play on all days. (i) Locker Rooms A locker will be provided for you at the clubhouse with individual name tags on the locker. Please visit the Tournament Office to collect your locker key. (ii) Tournament Office The PGA Official Tournament Office is located behind the 18 th green. A PGA Official will be there at all times to answer any questions you may have, additionally all Tournament information and notices will be available to read. 10. YARDAGE CHARTS A complimentary yardage chart will be provided to all competitors and available to collect from the PGA Tournament Office. 11. TROLLEYS Complimentary trolleys are available for all competitors from the Professional Shop. 12. LOMBARD TROPHY CONDITIONS OF PLAY (i) The 2017 Lombard Trophy Grand Final will be a 36 hole four-ball stroke play event with 18 holes to be played on 21 st and 22 nd September unless playing conditions require this to be altered as per PGA Tournament Regulations. (ii) The field will total 14 teams, comprising the winning pair from each of the 14 Regional Finals. (iii) In the event of a tie for first place in the Grand Final, a hole-by-hole play-off will be held, the winning team of which will be champions. The play-off will commence when possible from hole 1 and continue, playing the holes in order until a winner is determined. If applicable, handicap strokes will apply. Teams losing in such a play-off will be placed according to card play-off results unless performance in the hole-by-hole play-off determines these positions prior to the champions being determined. Card play-off, if applicable, will operate as follows: lowest last 18, 9, 6, 3 and 1 holes. If a tie still remains the result will be determined by a match play hole-by-hole play-off from the better ball scores recorded on the card starting at the first hole of the final round. If still tied, the same procedure will apply to the round 1 card. (iv) In the event of either the amateur or The PGA Professional of a winning team at a Regional Final leaving the Club before the Grand Final, or if the team is unable to participate in the Grand Final, the team finishing second in the relevant Regional Final will take the team s place. (v) The PGA will provide flights, accommodation and transfers for all competitors competing in the Grand Final. All competitors participating in the Grand Final will be expected to make and pay for their own travel arrangements to the UK departure point, with the exception of those teams qualifying from the Irish & Scottish Regional Finals, who will be expected to make and pay for their own travel arrangements to their respective first departure point. (vi) All competitors competing in the Grand Final must attend all official functions throughout the week. Official functions will take place on the evenings of 20 th and 22 nd September. Competitors will also be required to play in the official practice round on 20 th September. Page 7 of 9

(v) The PGA will provide flights, accommodation and transfers for all competitors competing in the Grand Final. (vi) All competitors competing in the Grand Final will be expected to make and pay for their own travel arrangements to the UK departure point. (vii) All competitors competing in the Grand Final must attend all official functions throughout the week. Official functions will take place on the evenings of 20 th and 22 nd September.
