We had 4 guests from Kalispell & the rest club members. Some members couldn t make it due to snow & colds & so on but it was a great dance & the rest of us had a good time. Adam Christman from Spokane called & Lorrie Lane cued. Be sure to get your registrations & reservations in for the Montana State Festival in 2018 which we are sponsoring in Ronan, MT. Dry camping free on site, but if you prefer all the conveniences, Diamond S campground is great & taking reservations. So is Flathead Lake Inn in Polson - square dancer rate is $80.25 including tax. Joe Saltel is our featured caller if you ve not danced to Joe, you ve missed a great time. Adam Christman is calling our Friday trail in dance & Lorrie Lane is cueing the weekend. You ll have a good time with all of them, so don t miss out. It appears that many of our flyers that are in circulation state that our Friday evening Trails In Dance begins at 8am. If you want to arrive at 8am, please be prepared to help us set up. The dance actually starts at 8pm (as hopefully most folks assumed). We will be doing meetings for our festival every Saturday that we have a dance from January till May for anyone who is interested. Come join us any time you are in our area. Our regular club dances are 1 st Saturdays October thru May at the bank. Then 2 nd Saturday in June at the bank, 2 nd Saturday in July at the bank (if we dance always check on this one) 2 nd weekend of August at Diamond S campground in Ronan & then 2 nd Saturday in September at the bank. Any questions call Darlene at 826-8951.

Billings Yellowstone Square Dance Council Ann Hindley, reporter Lynn s Plus level workshop on November 4 was a great success and a lot of fun. The new Plus dancers are continuing to learn during the first part of our Saturday dances, from 7-8 p.m. and we re sure glad they have joined us. All of the groups have taken some time off during Thanksgiving week but will jump right in on Saturday when we decorate Cedar Hall for Christmas. Our snowbirds are gradually disappearing. Larry and Susan arrived safely in Arizona but will return periodically to Billings to keep the Silhouettes in line. He ll also be here for our all callers Christmas Dance December 2, hope you are too! We ve also got our callers' and cuers' New Year s Eve dance and breakfast in the works, join us if you can. It all starts at 8:30 p.m. and will wind up around 12:30 a.m. As always, go to squaredancemontana.com for details. Contradance Billings will dance twice in December, on the 8th and 22nd. Hunter s new club, the Rockin H Squares, and the Checkerboard Squares are partnering up for a new round of beginner sessions. Hunter will guide new folks on Tuesdays and will coordinate with Bob on Thursdays so that both sessions will be interchangeable. Rocking H will start beginners on January 2 and Checkerboards beginners will start on January 4. We re hoping that this will make attendance easier for the dancers; if they have to miss one evening due to schedule conflicts or lousy weather this time of year they can go to the other and not miss a beat. We re busy plotting our advertising blitz now and are excited to add new members to our dance family. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Stay safe and keep dancing!
