GENERAL MENTOR NESTLE NESQUIK TORUN CUP 2014 will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations 2012, the Special Regulations for Single & Pair Skating, the Special Regulations for Ice Dance 2012, the Technical Rules Single and Pair Skating 2012 and the Technical Rules Ice Dance 2012 as well as all pertinent ISU Communications. Participation in the Competition is open to all competitors who belong to an ISU Member, Rule 109, paragraph 1, and qualify with regard to eligibility, according to Rule 102, provided their ages fall within the limits specified in Rule 108, paragraph 2. b) and they meet the participation, citizenship and residency requirements in Rule 109, paragraphs 1 through 5 and ISU Communication 1420 or any update of it. Passports of the skaters, as well as the ISU Clearance Certificate, if applicable, must be presented at the accreditation. ENTRIES Entries must contain competitor s full name, date of birth, requirement for accommodation and the confirmation of the entry fee s payment. With the entry forms, the Program Content Sheet must be returned to the Organizing Committee. It is mandatory that the Program Content Sheet must be completed precisely by each skater/pair/couple in English using the terminology listed in the respective ISU Communication. It is not permitted to hand over the Program Content Sheets directly to the acting Officials. DEADLINE: Entries should reach the Secretary by the 25.11.2013. Judges and all competitors in the following categories: seniors, juniors and novices must be entered through their respective Member Federation/Association. Each club has the right to nominate two competitors for Silver category Girls. Organiser will confirm the entries by the 16.12.2013. JUDGES Each ISU Member should nominate one ISU/International Judge and the second one in case of the entry for the Ice Dance event (the second judge should have the qualifications for both categories Ice Dance and Figure Skating). The judges have to be on the current ISU list of judges. The organiser decides on the composition of the panel of judges. Organiser will confirm the final list of judges by 16.12.2013. MEDICAL INSURANCE/LIABILITY: In accordance with Rule 119, it is the sole obligation of each Member participating in the Competition, to provide medical and accident insurance for their athletes, officials and all other members of the Member s team. Such insurance must assure full medical attendance and also the return of the ill or injured person to the home country by air transport or by other expeditious means. The Organizer assumes no responsibility for or liability with respect to bodily or personal injury or property damage incurred in connection with the Competition. The medical emerrgency service will be present at the ice-rink during the Competition.
MUSIC Music will be reproduced from the CD player. CALCULATION OF RESULTS New Judging System (ISU) DRAW The single and pair Short Programs are skated in accordance with drawn starting numbers, as obtained according to Rule 540 of the Special Regulations & Technical Rules Single & Pair Skating 2012. The Pattern Dance/Short Dance are skated with in accordance drawn starting numbers, as obtained to according to Rule 635, par.1 of the Special Regulations & Technical Rules Ice Dance 2012. The Free skating/dance are skated in reverse order according to the results of the short program/dance. CHARGES Entry fees: 35,00 for single skater and 70,00 for pair/couple. In case no judge has been entered by the respective Member Federation the entry fee for a single skater amounts to 50,00 and for a pair/couple to 100,00. CATEGORIES ISU INTERNATIONAL FIGURE SKATING & ICE DANCE COMPETITION Senior: Pairs, Ladies, Ice Dance Junior: Pairs,, Ladies, Men, Ice Dance Novice Advanced: Girls, Boys Figure Skating competition for Seniors, Juniors Ladies, Men, Pairs will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations 2012, the Special Regulations & Technical Rules Single & Pair Skating 2012. For the Novice Advanced category in accordance with ISU Communication 1760. Ice Dance competition for Seniors, Juniors will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations 2012, the Special Regulations & Technical Rules Ice Dance 2012, and with the relevant ISU Communications.
INTERCLUB FIGURE SKATING COMPETITION Silver category girls born on 1.01.2003 and younger Free Program only duration: max 3 min10 sec Free Program shall consist of: a) Maximum of 6 jump elements (one of which must be an Axel type jump and there may be up to maximum two (2) combinations or sequences). Jump combination may consist only of 2 jumps. The step sequence may consist of any number of jumps, but only two most difficult jumps will be counted. b) There must be a maximum of two (2) spins of different nature, one of which must be a spin combination (at least ten (10) revolutions) and one flying spin or spin with flying entrance (at least six (6) revolutions) c) There must be one step sequence fully utilizing the ice surface. In the Free Program the same single/double jump can be executed only two (2) times. If any single/double jump is repeated more than mentioned above such a jump will receive no value (0 pts) and will block the jump box. The maximum level in technical element is 2. All the features higher than 2 will be ignored by the technical panel. In free program, if there is a fall in double axel or any triple jump and such a jump is fully rotated (no under rotated (<) or downgraded (<<)) there will be no one point deduction for fall!!! Only the following 3 program components will be marked: # Skating Skils # Performance # Choreography The program components factor is 1,7. Ice Dance NON ISU Basic Novice Age requirements Born after 1 st of July 2000 or younger Pattern Dance Fourteenstep (with key points) Free Dance Duration: 2 mins., 30 sec. +/- 10 sec
A Well Balanced Free Dance program must contain a) One (1) Short Lift (as defined in Rule 604, paragraph 16), chosen from the following Types of Lifts: aa) Straight Line Lift ab) Curve Lift ac) Rotational Lift In addition, one (1) additional Lift (up to 10 seconds) without any requirement for the Level of Difficulty is permitted (provided it is not an Illegal Lift), but only the first Lift performed will be identified and considered in determining the Level of Difficulty. However if a third Lift is performed, it will be considered by the Technical Panel as an extra element. In case a Stationary Lift is performed as the Lift with a Level of Difficulty, it will be identified by the Technical Panel to occupy a box, given No Value, and considered as an extra element (element not according to the Well Balanced Program). b) One (1) Step Sequence in hold of any type of Groups A or B (as defined in Rule 603, paragraph 3). The restrictions listed in ISU Communication 1610 and subsequent updates of this ISU Communication apply. c) One (1) Set of Synchronized Twizzles (as defined in Rule 604, paragraph 14 a) and b): only the first set of Synchronized Twizzles skated will be identified and considered for the Level of Difficulty. The Dance Spin is not included in the list of Required Elements for the Basic Novice Free Dance. Nevertheless, a spinning movement skated by the couple together in any hold around common axis on one foot (or two feet) with any number of rotations is permitted. A couple may choose to use this movement as part of their choreography. The Technical Panel will ignore these movements and the Judges will not consider these movements as one of the permitted stops. Duration 2 min., 30 sec. +/- 10 sec Levels explanations For Basic Novice Free Dance, in all Required Elements, only features up to Level 2 will be counted. Any additional features will not count for Level requirements and will be ignored by the Technical Panel. All Program Components are judged with the following factors: Skating Skills 1.10 Transitions/ Linking Footwork/Movements 0.90 Performance/Execution 0.90 Composition/Choreography 0.90 Interpretation/Timing 0.90 Rule 610 shall apply except that vocal music is not permitted. The use of vocal music shall be considered as a violation of music restriction and penalized as per Rule 653, paragraph 1 n) (ii) and Rule 409, paragraph 1. Requirements for the music and the costume: as per ISU Communication 1610 and subsequent updates of this ISU Communication (except that music may not be vocal).
