at Bellewood From Executive Chef Brian DeJohn and Clubhouse Manager Paul Burkert 2015 promises to be a very exciting year for Food and Beverage at Bellewood. We will continue the positive growth of years past while pushing ourselves towards providing even more of a resort style feel for our members. With upgraded service standards, improved drink pricing and happy hour events planned for both the Pool and Clubhouse venues, we are aiming to engage our members more than ever before. Valentine s Day is just around the corner, and we are releasing a new upscale casual dining menu with seasonal reflections, as well as a new and revamped bar menu with ever-changing chef inspired items. In March we will be introducing a brand new Bellewood Poker League. The league will meet bi-monthly for dinner, drinks and Texas Hold-em, culminating in a final table style event in December for our Grand Prize. Email pburkert@bellewoodgolf.com for details and to register interest. Finally, in response to the 2014 Member Survey, we have made a slight adjustment to the Dress Code. Smart denim and polo shirts are now welcomed in the Main Dining Room side of the Clubhouse. Golf attire is still limited to the Bar and Clubroom. For new members and those who have not visited in a while, please familiarize yourself with the Dress Code when you make a reservation. And for Bellewood regulars, we hope you will continue to enjoy our increased service and new menu options. Our goal is to consistently provide a well-rounded dining experience with the relaxed ambiance and cultured setting you are accustomed to. Cheers! Brian & Paul Join us on Valentine s Weekend as we re-open for the first time in 2015. Chef Brian has prepared a delicious menu of specials available on the member website, including an exclusive Valentine s Dinner for Two (must be pre-ordered). Reservations are required. Call 610-718-9100 or email sgreen@bellewoodgolf.com Please Note: The Clubhouse will be closed February 28 due to a private event. If you would like to host an event at Bellewood, contact Stephanie: sgreen@bellewoodgolf.com at Bellewood Is there something you d like to see in the newsletters? Do you have an announcement? Meet & Greet Grove comes to Bellewood with over 20 years of management experience in the Country Club and restaurant industries. He spent many years at some of the Main Line s most prominent restaurants and comes to us from Philadelphia Country Club and White Manor Country Club. Grove grew up in Wayne and graduated from Radnor High School. After 2 years of traveling abroad he returned to school and received his degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, and then went on to attend The Restaurant School in Philadelphia where he graduated with a degree in Specialized Business. He began his management career at Kinterra, the original restaurant in The Wayne Hotel, now Paramour. After Kinterra he moved on to work for the S.W. Bajus Organization, owners of The Radnor Hotel, Wayne Hotel, Chestnut Hill Hotel & The Wild Onion. While working for the company Grove served as a Restaurant Manager and went on to be the Hotel Banquet Director and Director of Training. Grove then moved on to worked for The Plumb Tree Café Inc, which owned and operated Passerelle and Bravo Bistro in Radnor, as well as Tango, in Bryn Mawr. During his tenure at Passerelle the restaurant was rated in the Conde Nast travel guide as the number three restaurants in the Philadelphia area, and in the top 250 in the county. In 1997 the S.W. Bajus Organization asked Grove to return as the Food and Beverage Director at the Radnor Hotel and after serving there and at the Great Valley Sheraton he became the General Manager of the busy Primavera in Ardmore. Grove began his club career in 2003 as the Service Director at The Philadelphia Country Club. He was promoted to the position of Clubhouse Manager after one year and was with Philadelphia Country Club for 3 years. Grove was then recruited by White Manor Country Club where he had worked for the last 7 years as both the Clubhouse Manager and as the interim General Manager. Grove lives in Ardmore with his wife Kristine and their 11year old son Logan. Please join us in giving Grove a warm welcome to Bellewood. If you have any questions, you can contact him on 610-718-9100 x 225 and at gsmith@bellewoodgolf.com. Our annual Meet & Greet is a special event for all members to get to know each other, as well as offering a chance for members to meet the Management Team! Keep a note in your calendar for Saturday March 21st and join us for this evening of Hors D oeuvres and our Happy Hour Specials. Members Only. Adults Only. RSVP to sgreen@bellewoodgolf.com

The Professional Staff will determine what the cart traffic pattern will be each day and notify all players before they start their round. Below you can read the details on the traffic patterns. Golf Carts Scatter: Golf Carts remain on the cart path around all tees and greens. When playing a hole golf carts may exit the cart path at the start of the fairway and must go directly to the fairway. Golf carts are not permitted in the rough except when leaving the path and going to the fairway and returning from the fairway to the cart path. The rough is the most susceptible to damage from the carts, so we want to minimize traffic on the rough. Carts are never permitted in the tall fescue grasses. On all Par 3 s all carts must remain on the cart paths at all times. Golf Carts Path Only: Golf Carts must remain on the cart paths at all times. Exceptions can be made for medical reasons but will depend on the course conditions and must be approved by the professional staff. If there is an exception for a medical reason a flag will be placed on the golf cart to signify that. Optional Bag Storage: $150 (Only a few spots left). If any member is interested in storing their clubs at Bellewood there are only a few spots left. Please contact the Golf Shop to reserve a bag spot. GAP Team Matches: We added a third team!
