Quality f the future. 1. Imprtant Ntes 1.1 Handling Instructins These instructins are intended exclusively fr: Specialists r peple trained by specialists that are familiar with the applicable standards and ther regulatins and, in particular with the applicable safety cncepts. TESIMAX des nt accept liability fr incrrect use and damage f prducts r machines resulting frm nn-bservatin f the infrmatin in these instructins. 1.2 Safety instructins The safety instructins are intended t prevent injury, material damage and dangers arising frm imprper use, incrrect peratin, insufficient maintenance and ther inapprpriate user actin. Observe the accident preventin regulatins applicable at the usage site, in particular regarding the safe use f cmpressed air. These instructins cntain imprtant ntes abut the safe peratin f the system. The instructins and especially the safety instructins must be bserved by all persns that wrk with the system. Opening r manipulating the system vids all warranties. The system must be perated nly by trained persns. 1.3 Prper Use The system is intended nly fr leakage testing ft he fllwing prtectin suits frm TESIMAX- Altinger GmbH: Prtectin suits mdel VS, VSF, GS 3 and GS 3 M series During testing, n significant temperature fluctuatins must ccur, as these can distrt the test results. Fr permissible ambient cnditins, see the technical specificatins. Regularly check the cmpressed air hses fr wear. Replace faulty hses immediately. The system has been designed t the state f the art and the generally recgnised safety regulatins. Incrrect use can, hwever, cause risks fr peple, the equipment r ther material. Quality f the future. 1.4 Terms f Use TESIMAX reserves the right t change, crrect and/r imprve the technical dcumentatin and the prducts described therein at any time withut prir ntice. This applies als fr changes in the interest f technical prgress. The receipt f technical dcumentatin des nt imply any further bligatin by TESIMAX t prvide infrmatin abut any changes f the prducts and/r technical dcumentatin. Althugh TESIMAX always aims t ensure that the prvided infrmatin is crrect and up-t-date, the pssibility f technical inaccuracies and/r printing errrs can nt be excluded. TESIMAX des nt prvide any guarantee regarding the accuracy and crrectness f the infrmatin. TESIMAX des nt accept liability r respnsibility fr errrs r missins in the cntent f its technical dcumentatin (particularly data sheets, assembly instructins, manuals, etc.) Sparkasse Pfrzheim Calw (BLZ 666 500 85) Kt.-Nr. 791326 UniCredit Bank AG Karlsruhe (BLZ 660 202 86) Kt.-Nr. 15653957

Transprt and peratin T ensure truble-free, safe peratin f the device, it must be transprted, stred, assembled and perated crrectly. When transprting the device, prtect it frm impact, vibratin and extreme temperatures. Operate the device nly with pened lid. D nt kink the air hses and check them regularly fr wear. Use the device nly n a suitable, stable, nn-slip surface. Sparkasse Pfrzheim Calw UniCredit Bank AG Karlsruhe (BLZ 666 500 85) Kt.-Nr. 791326 (BLZ 660 202 86) Kt.-Nr. 15653957
Quality f the future. 4. Inspectin f CPS The suit must be tested after every use and at least every 12 mnths. Perfrm a visual inspectin and functinal test t check fr mechanical damage and damage caused thrugh the secndary effects f hazardus materials. With a suitable test device perfrm a pressure and leaktightness test accrding t EN 464. The pressure relief valve must be tested accrding t EN 943 1 in its installed state. If yu experience prblems with guidelines, cntact yur distributr r TESIMAX. A. Befre starting the leaktightness test accrding t EN 943 Part 1 and DIN EN 464 Leave the suit t rest at rm temperature (20 C ±5 C) fr at least ne hur. Prepare the prtectin suit fr testing, clse the zip and zip cver and remve the prechamber and valve disc. Seal the pressure relief valves with the supplied TESIMAX sealing plug r sealing cap.verbinden Cnnect the test and filling lines t the crrespnding test prts (quick cnnect cupling). Cnnect the test cnnectin t the suit with a pressure relief valve (flding the adapter ver the pressure relief valve) and cnnect the filler cnnectin with the secnd pressure relief valve. B. Start the leaktightness test accrding t EN 943 Part 1 and DIN EN 464 r accrding t the manufacturer s instructins: Stabilisatin test: Inflate the suit t a gauge pressure f 1750 ±50 Pascal (apprx. 18 mbars //alternative TESIMAX guideline: 20 mbars). Leave the inflated suit t lie. The suit must nt be expsed t any mechanical pressure, asthis wuld cause a sudden increase in the internal pressure which culd damage the measuring equipment. The pressure is held at a cnstant value f 1700 ±50 Pa (apprx. 18 mbars) fr ten minutes. During this time, the temperature stabilises and the pressure inside the suit reaches equilibrium. As the suit inflates, yu can remve any kinks r flds in the suit; the pressure inside the suit is then stable. Fr TESIMAX prtectin suits yu can wrk t the manufacturer s test parameter specificatins. Cntact TESIMAX fr further infrmatin. Sparkasse Pfrzheim Calw (BLZ 666 500 85) Kt.-Nr. 791326 UniCredit Bank AG Karlsruhe (BLZ 660 202 86) Kt.-Nr. 15653957
Quality f the future. C. Leak Test: After ten minutes, the pressure inside the suit is reduced t 1650 ±30 Pa (apprx. 16.8 mbars // alternative TESIMAX guideline: 16 mbars). This is the initial pressure fr the actual test. After a further six minutes the test ends (alternative TESIMAX guideline: 3minutes). The pressure drp must nt exceed 300 pascal (abut 3 mbars // alternative TESIMAX guideline: 2 mbars). This is indicated by the pin f the pressure gauge If the pressure drp is greater than the minimum requirement f 1380 Pa (apprx. 13.8 mbars // alternative TESIMAX guideline: 14,0 mbar), in this case, yu must search fr the leak with leak test spray r sapy water. If yu have a TESIMAX trained equipment attendant, yu can repair the leak yurself; therwise, return the prtectin suit t TESIMAX fr repairs. The required spare parts are listed in the manuals f the apprpriate suit type. D. After the leaktightness test accrding t EN 943 Part 1 and DIN EN 464 r accrding t the manufacturer s instructins: Remve the sealing cap and the filler and test cnnectins frm the pressure relief valves. The air escapes frm the suit. Fit the valve disc in the valve husing and unbuttn the prechamber with the air exhaust pening facing dwnwards (twards the bts). Cmplete and sign the test reprt and test the next prtectin suit if applicable. A cpy f the test reprt frm fr cpying is included in the appendix (sectin 13) f the manuals f the apprpriate suit type.
