Player Registration, Transfers & Loan signings Background The League has taken the decision to move its player administration functions to the ECB playcricket system and this means there is a change to the way players will be registered, transferred and loaned between clubs in most cases removing the need for paper forms and e-mail chains. Your club will be able to register new players, arrange transfers and set up loans all with the administration area of your clubs play-cricket site. These movements will then be authorised through the League Administration system. The following step by step guide will take you through the process from start to finish. Whichever of the options you wish to carry out the initial process is always the same and requires you to Login through your club home page using your Username and Password then from the drop down menu below your name select Site Administration (if this option is not available to you then you have not been authorised by your club to carry out this task and will need to contact your website administrator. NEW REGISTRATIONS Players who are not registered with any other club for Saturday League cricket. This will also be used for players who are being transferred using a paper transfer form. From the Admin Home page select Members then Member Database On this screen you should search the database to see if a record already exists, or if the player is new to play cricket select Add New Member With This Role. Select Add Member
Create a new player record by completing the First Name, Surname, Date of Birth and were possible an Email address (It is important that this information is entered ACCURATELY and is CORRECT as it will form the basis of any future admin tasks). If you are including an email address for a player under 16 then you will also be asked to provide a parent s name and email address. Then click Save You will then be taken back to the Member Database which will now contain a player record that you can register. Find the player using the Search options and then click on Edit Role Select the League Registered Players tab
On the screen that follows you will need to complete the player s address, postcode and player category sections before clicking Save. The information should be complete and correct as you will need to complete a declaration page confirming this before the player is registered. Once the player s information has been saved click APPLY next to the Yorkshire Premier League North Registered Player. This is option to use for ALL players as it relates to the name of the play-cricket admin site not necessarily the name of the competition they will be playing in. There should be no duplicate player records as this is a new registration (if any are shown up you will need to find out from the player if any belong to them and match them up) then click NEXT The Standard Nomination screen that follows will contain a number of conditions that you will need to satisfy to ensure the registration meets the requirements of both the League and the bodies that the League is affiliated to after. If you are unable to confirm all the conditions have been met you must not proceed with the registration. If you are able to do so then enter your responses and click SAVE and the following message will appear confirming your application The application is now complete and will be awaiting approval by the registration manager.
TRANSFERS and LOANS This is the initial process is to be used for ALL transfers and loans. As with a new registration the first few steps are the same from the Member Database select Add New Member With This Role and a screen appears which will allow you to search for the players existing record at their current club Enter the player s surname and in the Keyword box enter the first few letters of the players current club then click search As the above example shows the search may bring forward several matches you will need to click or the thumb icon to select the appropriate club.
You can click the stats icon to confirm you have the correct player and by clicking select they player has now been added to your member database. If the search fails to produce a player record refer to the next section TRANSFERS NO RECORD You will then be taken back to the Member Database which will now contain a player record that you can process. Find the player using the Search options and then click on Edit Role Select the League Registered Players tab
The players details should be complete if they are not you will need to complete them before being able to continue with the transfer. You will see under Other Registrations details of the club & league the player is transferring from. Click Apply. There is no requirement to search for duplicate records so click NEXT on the next screen. ** IMPORTANT ** For LOAN PLAYERS un-tick the Players Transfer box by clicking on it (and see below) If the above screen contains the correct information for the transfer click NEXT The Standard Nomination screen that follows will contain a number of conditions that you will need to satisfy to ensure the registration meets the requirements of both the League and the bodies that the League is affiliated to. If you are unable to confirm all the conditions have been met you must not proceed with the transfer/loan. For Loan players add the following message in the further information box Loan from < name of club holding player s registration > If you have completed all the appropriate responses click SAVE and the following message will appear confirming your application. TRANSFERS - NO RECORD This is for setting up a transfer for a player with no pre-existing record on play cricket. You will first need to obtain a paper YCB Player transfer form for the player from their existing club. The information on the form should be used to create a NEW REGISTRATION (see first section of these instructions). On the Standard Nomination page you should add the following note in the further information box Transfer from < name of players current club >
You do not need to send the paper work to the League but should keep it safe as you may receive a request to do so at a later date. Failure to provide the documents requested will be treated as a failure to register the player and will be subject to disciplinary action. ACCEPTING A TRANSFER REQUEST (through play-cricket) Once you have set up the transfer request following the above steps the player s current club must accept it before the League will register your player. IT IS UP TO THE PLAYERS NEW CLUB TO ENSURE THE CURRENT CLUB ACCEPTS THE TRANSFER THROUGH PLAY-CRICKET, the Registration Secretary will not chase clubs regarding incomplete registrations. Once a transfer request has been submitted by the new club it will show as a Nomination on the Admin home page of the existing club and the details can be viewed by clicking the magnifying glass icon. If the existing club are happy to agree to the transfer they click the Tick Icon and the application is now complete and will be awaiting approval by the registration secretary.
