Tioman island provides the idyllic getaway to enjoy nature's gift. Located on the South China Sea, Pulau Tioman is the largest island on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It is part of the Seribuat Archipelago which is made up of 64 volcanic islands (including the mysterious Seribuat island) off the southeastern coast of Pahang and approximately 32 km off Mersing. The name of the island is said to be derived from a bird known as "tiong" (jungle mynah) among the locals. In the early days, the local islanders love to keep the bird as pet and affectionately called the bird as "tiong mas" (golden mynah) or "tiong man" (my mynah, man means my in the island's local dialect ). Hence, this is how the name Tioman is derived from. Legend has it that the island of Tioman was formed when a magical dragon princess flying from China to join her beloved prince in Temasek (old Singapore) settled herself on South China Sea for a rest. The dragon princess became so enchanted with the warm crystal clear waters of this particular spot in the South China Sea that she decided to discontinue her journey and formed into this beautiful dragon shaped island to provide shelter and comfort for weary travelers. The high ridge of the island is believe to be the form of the dragon's backbone and the clouds that circles around the twin peaks on the island's Western ends are said to be smoke breathed from her nostrils. It is not surprising then that the early Chinese traders referred to Tioman as "the island with 2 horns".

Upon arrival at Paya Beach Spa & Dive Resort, guests are greeted with a welcome drink served by our friendly staff. You may unwind for the rest of the afternoon, or choose any of the leisure activities offered, such as diving, snorkeling, or taking a jungle trek. Our Paya Tropical Holistic Spa offers a range of services to soothe the weary traveler. After a buffet dinner, guests may relax at the bar with their favourite drinks. DAY 02: SNORKELLING EXCURSION + MARINE PARK (inclusive of Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) After a hearty breakfast, guests are invited to join our morning snorkeling excursions* as we head north of the island. Famed for its colorful reefs, beautiful white beach and excellent fishing spots, you will find the best Tioman has to offer here! At the Marine Park, you'll be able to snorkel among the protected corals and even feed the marine fish who come to greet visitors to their sanctuary! Transfer back to resort for a lunch, with the rest of the afternoon free to relax as you please. DAY 03: TIOMAN / MERSING (inclusive of Breakfast) After breakfast, it s time to bid farewell to this island of irresistible charm and head for home, taking with you pleasant memories, and perhaps a wish to return soon! Reservation is subject to availability of rooms and confirmation will be on first come first serve basis. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon confirmation of reservation and the balance must be paid 2 weeks before departure. The booking is confirmed once the deposit is made.
