CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW PRIME Prime bows are engineered, machined, and assembled with the highest quality craftsmanship in the USA. Please review the entire manual before operating your new Prime bow. Many adjustments require the use of a bow press: please consult your local Prime dealer on general setup and tuning. Please also reference the Prime Shield Program on the back cover of this manual for full warranty information. BEFORE OPERATING YOUR BOW Make sure you are familiar with the proper use and operation of a compound archery bow. Thoroughly inspect your bow for any loose or missing components. Check your bow for signs of excessive damage or wear. Do not operate a bow you believe to be unsafe. Ensure that any additional accessories are undamaged and in proper working order. Make sure that your target is clear of foreign objects or debris that may cause damage to your arrows. Make sure that your target is using an appropriate backstop, or that the area behind it is free of buildings, vehicles, livestock or any other object you would not wish to hit. Familiarize yourself with local laws and ordinances regarding operating archery equipment in your area. Be considerate of your neighbors and local law enforcement. WHILE OPERATING YOUR BOW Be sure that your cams, limbs, and any other moving components are clear of clothing, hands or other foreign objects before releasing your arrow. Do not attempt to release an arrow into the air, through an obstruction, off of a hard surface, or without a clear line of sight to your target. Never attempt to release the string without an arrow, or with an arrow that does not meet the minimum weight standard for your bow (5 grains per 1lb of draw weight). Always inspect your arrows before you shot one. Loose arrow nocks and defective arrow shafts can result in catastrophic failure and even injury. Do not attempt to operate your bow while under the effects of drugs or alcohol. NEVER attempt to aim your bow at a target you do not intend to shoot. DO NOT EVER aim your bow at another individual, or engage in any behavior that may cause an arrow to strike another person.

WHILE STORING YOUR BOW Do not expose your bow to excessive heat, such as next to a furnace, or in the trunk of your car on a sunny day. Do not leave your bow out in the rain or snow, or in areas of excessive humidity, such as in a damp basement or crawl space. Keep the string and cables away from sharp objects such as knives or broad heads, and also away from sources of open flame. Always perform routine maintenance after storing your bow for excessive periods of time. Never assume that the bow will be identical to the way you left it. --- Prime bows are intended for target shooting and the legal taking of game ONLY. Any other use of our product is neither endorsed nor encouraged by Prime, and can lead serious injury or death to yourself or others. Always put safety first when operating your archery equipment. YOUR BOW IS NOT A TOY. FAILURE TO ABIDE BY THESE RULES CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH TO OTHERS. BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN ARCHERY SAFETY.

SAFETY NEVER DRY FIRE YOUR BOW This means to draw and release the string without an arrow. Firing a bow without an arrow to absorb the energy can cause severe damage to the bow, the shooter, and nearby persons. Let the string down slowly. B CAREFULLY INSPECT YOUR BOW BEFORE EVERY USE Inspect your bow before every shooting session, inspecting the limbs, strings, cable(s), limb bolts, etc. If you notice any frayed or cut strings or cable(s) and/or cracks or splintering limbs, immediately cease use of the bow and contact your local Prime dealer. ALWAYS INSPECT YOUR ARROW This means to inspect all your arrows, nocks, and fletching (per manufacturer recommendation) for cracks, bends, or anything that will compromise its safety. Use of cracked or damaged arrows can result in personal injury. ALWAYS BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET Make sure there are no persons, buildings, vehicles, or livestock behind your target. Make sure to have a proper backstop to properly stop arrows. KEEP BOW FROM BEING EXPOSED TO EXCESSIVE HEAT OR DAMPNESS Exposing the bow to excessive heat, such as keeping the bow in a closed vehicle during sunny days, can cause limb/string and cable(s) failure. Nev er store a wet bow for prolonged periods. ALWAYS BE SAFE Make sure to know all warnings and abide by them. Never aim or shoot at a person. Never shoot straight up. Wear safety glasses while working on the bow. Be careful handling broadheads or any sharp objects around the string and cable(s). Cutting or nicking these can cause serious injury to you and others. Children MUST be supervised by a responsible adult. WARNING!!!! YOU RE RESPONSIBLE FOR ARCHERY SAFETY

SETUP VISIT YOUR LOCAL PRIME DEALER FOR BOW SETUP WHICH INCLUDES: Adjusting draw length and draw weight Replacing and/or servicing string and/or cables Checking and adjusting cam timing Proper arrow selection Proper selection and installation of accessories SETTING UP YOUR BOW The following guide is provided to help you familiarize yourself with the initial setup and operation of your Prime bow. It is not intended to be a complete guide. Always consult your local Prime dealer for additional help in maximizing the performance of your bow. DRAW WEIGHT: All PRIME bows have 10 pound draw weight adjustment capability. For instance, if you have a 60 pound bow, that bow is capable of a 50-60 pound adjustment. To adjust the draw weight, loosen the Limb Pocket Locking Screws first, using an Allen wrench. Both screws must be loosened before adjusting the draw weight. Then, use a 3/16 Allen wrench to adjust the Limb Bolts equally by turning the Limb Bolt counterclockwise to decrease weight and clockwise to increase weight. Each full rotation of the limb bolt will alter the draw weight 2-3 pounds. Never turn the limb bolt more then one rotation at a time. If more than one rotation is needed, alternate between both limb bolts one full rotation at a time. Never back out the limb bolt more than five full rotations from maximum draw weight. Do not use power tools. SETTING YOUR NOCKING POINT: The optimal nocking point for Prime bows is approximately 2 above center for any Centergy model bows, and approximately 1/2 above center for older models. Prime recommends using a D-Loop style knocking point in conjunction with a mechanical release aid to maximize the performance of your bow. For help with properly installing a D-Loop, consult with your local Prime dealer. Always refer to your manufacturer s instructions regarding the safe operation of your mechanical release aid.

SETUP CONT. INSTALLING/ADJUSTING YOUR REST All Prime bows use the ATA standard 5/16-24 tapped hole for mounting arrow rests and other accessories. Mount your rest using the hardware provided by your manufacturer. Always read your manufacturer s instructions regarding the proper installation and operation of your rest. Using the wind-age adjustment on your rest, position your arrow so that the center line of the arrow is approximately 7/8 from the inside of the sight window. Use the vertical adjustment to position the center of the arrow through the center of the rest mounting hole, or approximately.850 from the top of the arrow shelf. Note that not all rests allow for vertical adjustment. Where this is the case, contact your manufacturer for how to make vertical adjustments with your rest. INSTALLING/ADJUSTING YOUR SIGHT All Prime bows use the ATA standard 10-24 tapped holes for mounting archery sights and similar accessories. Mount your sight using the hardware provided by your manufacturer. Always read your manufacturer s instructions regarding the proper installation and operation of your archery sight. Archery sights are extremely diverse in both appearance and operation, and therefore cannot be fully explained here. However, in all cases, no part of your sight should obstruct the path of your arrow or bowstring. Refer to your manufacturer s instructionsregarding the procedure for sighting in your bow. Note that most archers use a peep sight or some other point of reference to use in conjunction with their bow sight. See your dealer for help with installing any of these types of devices. BROADHEADS: Most archers discover that they must make slight tuning adjustments when switching from field points to broadheads, both fixed and expandable, and even when using same weights. Broadheads can have different aerodynamics than field points and require slight adjustments in nocking point, centershot, and/or your sight. Always test your broadhead flight before going hunting to make sure of your arrow flight, no matter what kind of broadhead design. G5PRIME.COM

DRAW LENGTH: Parallel Cams are draw length specific cams in intervals of 1/2. To change out draw lengths, please seek the professional help of an authorized PRIME dealer. Please note: To ensure proper use, make sure cam washers are within.005 of thickness from one side to the other. This will place the cam within the center of the limb which is important to reduce cam lean. Visit your local Prime dealer to have your draw length adjusted. FIGURE 3 LET-OFF: The PCXL/TRK cams have an adjustable let-off of up to 85%. The TRM cams have an adjustable let-off of up to 80%. The TRC cams have an adjustable let-off of up to 65%. SETUP CONT. FIGURE 3 parallel cam technology LET-OFF + - LIMB STOP + - LET-OFF CABLE STOP (not available on pcxl cams) TRM/TRc CAM LIMB STOP OR CABLE STOP ADJUSTMENT: The newly designed TRC cam that is featured on the Centergy X1 series target bows was developed to allow for a firm back wall or a softer back wall depending on the archer s preference. This is accomplished by either shooting off of the limb stops or cable stops. If a firm back wall is desired, leave the limb stops in place and remove the cable stops from the cam. Once the cable stop is removed, the limb stops can be adjusted to reach your desired let-off. If a softer back wall is desired, remove the limb stops. The same can be done with the TRM cams. (See Figure 3) LET - OFF: Draw stops can be adjusted to micro-adjust draw length from each cam s specified draw length, and also adjust the let-off. Pushing the limb stops inward will result in decreased let-off and shorter draw length, while moving the limb stops outward increases let-off and draw length. To adjust them, use a 9/64 Allen wrench, loosen 8-32 cap screw one full turn, and slide both the upper and lower limb stops equal amounts. Finally, retighten the 8-32 cam screws on both limb stops. WARNING! DO NOT DRAW PARALLEL CAM EQUIPPED BOWS WITHOUT BOTH DRAW STOPS PROPERLY INSTALLED!!!

NEVER USE A SINGLE PULL PRESS! FIG. 3 PRESSES BOW IN ONE PLACE G5PRIME.COM

MAINTAINING YOUR BOW PERIODICALLY CHECK YOUR STRING & CABLES: Always check your bow for frayed string, yokes and cables. Replace damaged string, yokes and/or cables immediately. Keep your PRIME strings waxed and maintained. If you replace the string, yokes, and/or cables make sure to only use PRIME replacements and proper lengths for best performance and reliability. ECCENTRIC BEARINGS: All PRIME bows have self lubricating/sealed bearing systems and do not need to be lubricated. FLEXIS-AR TECHNOLOGY: PRIME bows are equipped with Flexis-AR cable guard technology that should never wear out with normal use. Periodically, check the condition of the cables above and below the Flexis-AR to see if any premature wearing/fraying has occurred. Replace Flexis-AR immediately if damaged. STRING YOKE SPLITTER: All PRIME bows are equipped with String Yoke Splitters in the bowstring. Make sure these are installed as shown to the right. WARNING! DO NOT DRAW/FIRE A PRIME BOW WITHOUT SPLITTER PROPERLY INSTALLED!
