The participants receiving the highest distinction in the competition will receive scholarships in distinguished schools/faculties of dance in Europe, awards and gifts. The procedures and the terms of the competition, the rules for evaluation of the participants and the applications forms and information on how to order the DVD are described below (in Greek). Please contact us for more information on how to apply. 1. P a r t i c i p a t i o n P r o c e s s The international dance competition is organized by "Terpsichore", a company dedicated in supporting and promoting the art of dance and includes the following categories: classical dance (ballet), modern and jazz. Α. Classical Dance In this category can compete individuals or group of students from dance schools of Greece or abroad, that will have supplemented, up to the date of the competition, at least the seventh

3 (7 th ) year of age. Is allowed for participants of smaller ages to participate in higher categories, with the terms of the category they select to compete, while is prohibited the participation of higher age attendants in categories for smaller ages. Also it is possible for duets to compete (pas des deux), given that both their members have reached, at least, the fourteenth (14th) year of age (Individuals that during the competition are 14 years old and 11 month are assumed that have completed the 14 year of age). A group can have from 3 to 12 people and the age of the group will be the mean value of the individuals' age. The choreographies on which the participants will compete are obligatory and will be send in DVD and all the related music on CD when the participants send the related order form (Ms Word, PDF), The DVD and the CD will be send directly after the arrival of the order form and cost 40 including all obligatory choreographies (If a dance school presents 7 students in different categories and with different obligatory choreographies must order a single DVD and a single CD even if the competing categories include classical and/or modern and or tzaz). The DVD and CD order and any postal charged that apply must be paid with cash on delivery. ATTENTION: From this year on the DVD will not include obligatory dance classical choreographies for the categories for boys of Moyen, Superior and Excellence and the reason is that every year only a few people are participating. For this reason we only propose a certain musical part for each category included in the CD, (Moyen boys- track 6, Superior boys - track 9) and every teacher, participant and choreographer must create its own choreography for this music using the necessary skills and technical difficulties for each level as the ones described below, obligatory for each category: Moyen Boys: 1. Two pirouettes en dehors 2. Two pirouettes en dedans 3. One tour en l air 4. One grand saut (i.e. grand jeté arabesque ή attitude, temps levé, sissonne etc.) 5. Batterie (i.e. entrechat 4 ή 3 de volée, échappe battu, assemble sissonne, jeté brise etc.) Superior Boys: 1. Two pirouettes en dehors 2. Two pirouettes en dedans 3. Two tour en l air 4. One grand saut (i.e. saut de basque, assemble en tournan, grand jeté battu en tournan, grand jeté ciseau, grand saut écart etc.) 5. Batterie (all entrechat)

4 It is also possible girls from 14 years and more and boys from 14 and more to compete with choreographies from the classic repertory in the final phase of the competition if they select the category of Excellence. In the semifinal phase of the competition the participants in the category of Excellence must present the obligatory choreography for the Superior level. This applies the same for the duets, the choreographies presented must be from the classical repertory and the members of the duets must present in the semifinal the corresponding choreographies for the Superior level. ATTENTION! In the cases that any participant individual or in a group selects a choreography from the classical repertory, he/she should declare precisely the version of the selected choreography that will present (eg. Sylvia choreography G. Balanchine, publication American Ballet Theater), and he/she must not present part of different versions of the same choreography because he/she will be excluded from the competition. ATTENTION: We created a new category named "Free Style Classic". The choreographies for this category are free to be selected for the semifinal and the final phase of the competition and can be of maximum length a) individual 1:30 minutes for the 1st and 2nd category, of 2 minutes for the 3rd and 4th category and for the group for the 1st and 2nd category of 3 minutes and the 3rd and 4rt category of 4 minutes.
