SLSG Fundraiser -Club raffle -All online -Each player sells 3 tickers ($25) -Only club fundraiser of the year -Go towards field development -Only U8-U14 Chicago Fire -Victor Pineda (17 year old player) -Very rarely do you see young players bypass college for pro team -Fire still pays for college as well -Fire treats their organization as a way to develop players for their first team -One good player on their first team, worth the sacrifice -Also sell players to other organizations -Get transfer fee -Start recruiting by U6-U8-8 seperate youth clubs (main club in Naperville, Indiana, Louisianc, Mississippi, etc) -The 8 clubs are run a little different, portion of the fees go to the Fire -18s, 16s and 14s (three teams are fully funded) -Took on 14s to give those players a more professional training environment (train 4 times a week, play in friendlies, no league) -More training and less games -Uniform staff -14s do not play high school next year -High school soccer is a big deal to kids but they can push it -Better training in everyday environment -Chicago Sockers only not funded program -Chicago Magic funds their program and individual players 5
