Interleague Objectives What are the SMJFL aims and aspirations for the Interleague program? That the SMJFL control all aspects of the interleague programs SMJFL works closely with all stakeholders That the SMJFL at all times fields the strongest possible representative sides Player & coach development Best practice in all areas of junior football Best possible coaches and coaching framework Clear and constant communication Equal opportunity for all players At no time will the SMJFL, SMJFL Interleague Staff or Coaches advise a player or family member of players to move Clubs; either within the same division or from one division to a lower or higher division. Should a staff member or coach do this, they will be answerable to the SMJFL Board.

Interleague Coaches Bill Leggett (Head Coach) Level 1 Youth Accreditation Starting playing football as a 17 year old at Mazenod before going on to play in 5 premiership winning teams across a 20 year playing career. Has coached at Mordialloc-Braeside since 2011 including the U15 Div. 2 premiership in 2013 2014 Team: Under 16 Division 1 2015 Team: No club team Darin Edwards Level 1 Youth Accreditation Coached various age groups at Beaumaris over the last 5 seasons 2014 Team: Under 12 South 2015 Team: Under 13
Interleague Coaches Ben Kelly Level 1 Youth Accreditation Played U17, U19 and reserves football for West Adelaide (SANFL) Has held many assistant and head coaching roles at South Melbourne since 2004 2014 Team: Under 12 White 2015 Team: TBC Mark Jackson Level 1 Youth Accreditation Played football with De La Salle from U14s through to seniors, also had a stint with Melbourne FC U19s Coached U10s & U11s at St Paul s McKinnon in 2012 and 2013 2015 Team: Under 13

Under 13 Interleague Carnival Competing Leagues (3) Yarra Junior Football League South Metro Junior Football League South-East Juniors Teams Two teams (Division 1 & Division 2) consisting of 24 players each. Venue & Date Carnival will be held on Sunday 7 th June (Queen s birthday long weekend) at Yarra Junior Football League (Bulleen Park, Bulleen) Competition Format Round robin, two matches per team. Highest ranked team is deemed the winner
Under 13 - Cost of the Program $40 - Train-on Fee The Train-on payment is required prior to the first training session, which will be approximately twothree weeks after the information night. $200 - Interleague Carnival Fee Carnival participation payment is required by the last training session prior to the jumper presentation evening. Failure to do so may result in a player not being able to participate in the interleague training or carnival. Benefits Aside from the training and developmental benefits to participating players, players selected in the squad will receive as part of their full payment: Apparel - Sports Bag, Warmup T-Shirt, Hoodie jumper, Playing Shorts (home shorts), Playing Socks, Playing Jumper

Selection Philosophy The SMJFL welcomes all shapes and sizes as it is crucial to ensure a balanced squad. The SMJFL and their selected coaches and coordinators will not accept misbehaviour or rudeness towards any players, coaches officials etc. Criteria when looking at a player: SKILLS FLEXABILITY KNOWLEDGE & LISTENING
