Gymkhana 1.50 per race ( 8 for all 6 races) Starts at 1:00 pm prompt4 Members competing in all 6 races will be entitled to enter can elimination free of charge. The ring must be vacated following each race. Six races per age group, games will be displayed on the Secretaries Caravan. Rosettes to 4th place in each race. Age Groups Class 14. Tiny tots Lead rein, walk & trot only. MUST have 2 helpers (1 for pony, 1 for rider) Class 15. 5yrs & Under Lead rein, walk & trot only. Child may be held. Class 16. 8yrs & Under Lead rein, walk, trot, canter. Child may be held. Class 17. 12yrs & Under Class 18. Open If a child is capable of competing at a higher level, he/she may compete in an older age group. This must be decided at the beginning of the season and the child must remain in that age group for the whole 2014 season. Children must complete all activities without adult assistance. Hard hats to PAS015/BSEN 1384 must be worn with chin strap fastened at all times when mounted. 2. Correct footwear must be worn by all competitors, No trainers or wellies. 3. When competing arms should be covered by long sleeves. Show jumping and Dressage competitors should be correctly attired in jackets or dark coloured sweatshirts. 4. ARC strongly recommends the wearing of good standard body protectors. 5. Spurs and whips are not allowed in gymkhana or can elimination.
Competing 1. The decisions of judges and committee are final. 2. Protests/complaints must be made in writing to the chairperson or secretary with a 10 deposit which will be refunded if the complaint is upheld. 3. No horse/pony under the age of 4 will be allowed to compete (except in a youngstock class at the Open Show). 4. Horses/ponies may only compete in a maximum of 4 showjumping classes at any one show. This excludes entries to gymkhana/ minimus/ can elimination. 5. No child under the age of 3 may compete other than in Tiny Tots classes. 6. Family membership is for immediate family only. i.e. parents/children. 7. The committee reserve the right to refuse membership. 8. Members Cup Show is for regularly competing members only. To be eligible, members must have joined by the 3rd show and have competed in at least 2 shows (excluding the Open Show) In very special cases entry may be allowed at the discretion of the committee. 9. Competitors entering a class N/C will remain N/C all day. 10. Disqualification may result from excessive use of spurs or whips/ dangerous riding/ riding a sick or lame horse/ breach of the club rules. 11. The committee reserve the right to limit class entries and amend the schedule if necessary. 12. Interference from outside the ring will result in elimination. On the Showground 1. The gate must remain closed at all times. 2. All members/ competitors/ spectators must remain inside the showground perimeter fencing. 3. Children under the age of 16 must be in the care of a responsible adult. 4. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times. 5. Remember, the showground is grazed by horses; please take your rubbish home with you, including cigarette ends. 6. Lorries/ trailers must not be mucked out onto the showground. 7. The organizers and landowners accept no liability for any injury, accident, damage or loss caused by or to any person, animal or property whether competing, attending or otherwise. 8. In the interests of safety it is only permissible to walk in the the trailer lines. Trotting and Cantering is NOT allowed. 9. Cars must be parked in the designated area, NOT in the lorry park or ringside, unless permission has been granted by the committee. 10. Only plastic glasses to be used on the showground. 11. Bad language or disruptive behavior will NOT be tolerated.
