This was Ashland s first regular season loss since the 2011-12 season opener at California (Pa.) where Minnesota State-Mankato stopped the Eagles, 63-46. This loss also ended a 38-game regular-season winning streak against GLIAC teams and put an end to a 39-game winning streak against conference opponents. Leading by five at 47-42 with 10:51 to play in the game, the Oilers went on a 7-0 run to extend their advantage to 12 at 54-42 with just over 8:20 remaining. After trading a few buckets, junior guard Ashley Andrews drilled a three pointer with 6:04 left to make the score 57-44.
