Natural foundation for N117/3000, 91 m hub height, DIBt 3 with and without buoyancy Brief description The foundation is designed as a circular flat foundation with a diameter of 21.00 m (foundation with buoyancy) or 19.00 m (foundation without buoyancy). The base diameter is 4.90 m. The height of the foundation is 3.00 m from the top edge of the base to the foundation level of the base with the base being settled 30 cm below the foundation. The height of the foundation plate varies from 1.30 m linear up to the top edge. Below the foundation a binder layer of at least 10 cm height must be present. The foundation depth can be adjusted to local conditions whilst taking into account the permissible overall height and the ground water level. A permanent soil backfill on the foundation plate forms part of the foundation and must not be removed. To anchor the tower an anchor cage has been installed into the concrete body of the foundation. The anchor cage consists of 2 x 80 anchor bolts, a load-spreading plate and an anchor plate. The T flange of the tower is inserted into the anchor bolts and screwed on. The foundation has been tested for a wind turbine N117/3000, 91 m at locations up to and including wind zone 3 in accordance DIBt-guideline for WTs, 2004-03, annex B.
