Each year from September through to November the city of Melbourne comes alive with the thunder of hooves, the clink of glassware and the swish of glamorous race wear as Victoria welcome the arrival of the Spring Racing Carnival. The Spring Racing Carnival is Australia s richest racing event incorporating an array of high-profile feature races as well as a number of regional feature races spanning the entire state of Victoria with a combined total of more than $70 million in prizemoney on offer. People flock to the track in the tens of thousands to cheer on the sport s equine and human heroes, celebrate the iconic fashions and make sure they catch all the action, both on and off the track. springracingcarnival.com.au/international
International visitors have many opportunities in Melbourne with a race to suit every horse, with multiple possibilities to earn rich prizemoney. In recent years international raiders have had great success in the Carnival and 2016 saw talented gallopers from Japan, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, France, Germany and Ireland battle it out against Australia s best. Providing the unique opportunity to secure a place in history, it is little wonder trainers from across the world consider the Spring Racing Carnival as a must attend international racing event. We hope you can attend the 2017 Spring Racing Carnival and have the time of your life. springracingcarnival.com.au/international
