Table 1 shows the numbers of contestants appearances. Tables 2 and 3 show the statistical results of initiative scores and initiative loses during the games. singles quarter- is between Chen Long from China and Jonathan from Indonesia. From the active scoring competition results in Table 2, Chen Long and Jonathan equal in offensive capability. The two sides are both comprehensive technical players; scored only 1 point in smashing up, which indicating both sides take good control in return ball quality. Chen Long scores 2 more points in backcourt kill and 2 more points in flapping, while Jonathan got 2 more points in near-net ball. Both sides vary little and their overall score is 11 to 9. The two sides in terms of losing the initiative reflect a larger gap. Chen Long initiative loss was 15 points less than his opponent, which is about half of his opponent s initiative loss. Chen Long has a strong initiative in scoring, moves fast, has more comprehensive techniques [5]. Although his characteristics were not shown in initiative scoring, he succeeded in forcing his opponent to commit more errors and semi-coercive force turnovers. Lin Dan mainly scores in killing the ball in the frontcourt and backcourt. 14 out of 20 initiative scores are taken from backcourt killing, which accounts for 70%. In contrast, his opponent Ueda Takuma s way in taking initiative scorers are more balanced. Lin Dan active scores 5 points more than his opponent. However, it can be seen in Table 2, Lin Dan in this game makes full use of his advantages by killing the ball, lofty ball oppressing his opponent to take defensive state which cause him to hit the ball into the net or out of bounds. Lin Dan scrambled by paving the way to reverse the situation to score Several times through his active defense. Ueda Takuma s lost points mainly due to forced errors [3, 4, 6]. Overall, Lin Dan active lost 9 points less than the opponent, which are mainly unforced errors and semi-coercive mistakes. Unforced errors including three boundaries ball misjudgments and a tee shot. Lin s other lost are net-balls or out of bounds (including the edges and the bottom line) during the transition between attacking and defending under the balanced state. Different from s the men s singles 1/8 s, killing the ball is the main means of active score, Lin Dan s initiative scores are more balanced. During the race, Lin Dan has reservations, and did not take more physical exertion to kills. In terms of losing the initiative, Lin Dan has very little stress errors. When the game just begins, the Germany player s good state with focused attention caused some pressure on Lin Dan and made him commit some semi-coercive mistakes. China sent Li Xuerui play the two singles matches. Women s singles quarter- match Li Xuerui plays against Manu Buti from Indonesia and Manu Buti scores ahead in the beginning. Dramatically, Manu Buti got injured accidentally during the race and could not finish the race, which gave Li Xuerui the chance to win. Li s women s singles opponent is Japan s Akane Yamaguchi. Li s second game is very tough for her and she won ly in the playoff. In active score, Li got 17 points, only 1 more than her opponent. Akane Yamaguchi s physical fitness is better and she could still play backcourt kills after the game with good quality. On the other side, Li won 3-points-advantage through net smash, hook right corner and near-net ball. Li also plays better in lessing the active lost points. Relying on her skillful techniques, Li forces her opponent to commit turnovers and semi-coercive coercive mistakes repeatedly, resulting in more of the ball out of bounds and into the net error. The average age for male players and the female players are 29 years old and 24 years old. Indonesians have advantage in physical strength, which allow them to jump and kill the balls frequently during the game. On the other side, the Chinese team focused on anti-blocking the ball back. Though they get some effect, they have more errors than attack chances under great oppression. Through the whole game, China only got 12 points in active scoring, and 23 points in active loss, while Indonesia got 19 and 21points. Table 3. The competition is very fierce, even with the longest Sue cup row number 44. It s the only one game that both sides gained 33 points in active scoring, even more than active losses. In specific scoring, the Chinese team gained more points in backcourt kills, while Japan gained more in frontcourt kills. The two sides equals in the net skill. The players personal skills are about the same level, and China mainly relies on its tacit cooperation and psychological quality to obtain the victory. In terms of active loss points, both sides commit many faults in serving and receiving balls. Both sides were facing great oppression, and tried to cause pressure to the opposite side, which cause themselves a lot of errors. China got 4 errors in serving balls and 2 in receiving balls, 6 in total, while Japan got 7 and 2, 9 in total. Therefore, China has got a little advantage. In addition, China got 4 times less than Japan in out-of bound-ball. Relying on their personal skills, good teamwork and good psychology quality, China won over Japan ly. In 1/8 mixed doubles, Zhang and Zhao Yunlei from China play against Mike Fox and

Billjinder Max from Germany. Table 4 and 5 show the Chinese team has advantages in all aspects. On the one hand, Chinese players personal ability is stronger than their rivals; on the other hand, Zhang plays very well in back court kill, and Zhao Yunlei plays well in frontcourt kill, chop and other complementary skills and their advantages coped quite well and create a lot of attack opportunities. In this game, China gained 16points in active scoring, 7 more points than Germany. Relying on their own personal ability and good teamwork, they have caused great pressure on the German team and forced them to commit faults frequently. Germany got 26 in active loss, and China got 11. Tang Yuanting and Yu Yang from China played against Nitiya and Polly from Indonesia in women s double1/4 s. This is a 3-round game, scoring 17:21 21:17 21:15 China against Indonesia. Relying on their flexible attacking tactics, they won many points in active scores, in which 16 points from kill balls and 16 points from rush shot, crosscourt shot and near-net ball, 32 points in total, which is much higher than their rival s 19 points. But in active loss, China got 34points, 7 points more as well. The Chinese team got 2 points loss in out-of boundary, 4 in serving fault and 3 in receiving faults, which are all considered as non-stress failures. Large physical energy consumption may cause many faults. In double games the average age for male players and female players are 30 years old and 26 year old Compared with last Sue game, male players age is 5 years more, and females age is 3 years more, which indicates that all the competing nations make appropriate adjustments. Of all the games only in the men s double s game both sides got more points in active scores than active loss. Most games the players got more points in active losses. 2) When the scores are quite close, like men s doubles and men s doubles 1/4, players are more easily to commit faults in serving and receiving balls under great stress. While in other cases, like men s single 1/8, players seem to tend to commit faults in misjudgments in boundaries. Single game Players lose more points in return ball out of boundary than return ball under the net. On the contrary, double game players lose more points in return ball under the net. 3) Back court kill is the main way of active scoring. Of all the 10 games only in one women s single game most points are not gained from back court kill. Smashing is the most aggressive way to attack, and consumes a lot of physical energy. When the two sides get a very big gap in scoring, the points gained by smashing would not be very much. Therefore, it is very wise to choose the proper way to attack according to the situation. 4) In women s singles quarter-s, the Indonesian player quit the game because of the accidental injury. In selecting the right competitors, the team leader not only needs to consider the contestants competitiveness, but also need to consider their physical situation. 5) 9 players joined in the last 10 contest since the 1/8 s. Among all the players, Haifeng attended 3 games. Compared with last Sue Cup, most players are older, accordingly 4 years older in men s single, 1 year older in women s single, 5 years older in men s double and 3 years older in women s double. Some excellent players have to face the aging and physical energy problem. References [1] Information on Aiyuke. http://www.aiyuke.com/ [2] China Badminton Association.
